Artistic Expressions - a blog giveaway

Hello there,

Chocolate Baroque has launched a new great set of stamps today called Artistic Expressions.  This makes a great partner to Artistic Affirmations and contains some really big words which work really well as the focal point for a card as well as being great for scrapbooking and mixed media pieces.  There are some lovely heartfelt sentiments too. Here you can see the sheet....

Chocolate Baroque heeft vandaag een nieuw sheet gelanceerd genaamd 'Artistic Expressions'. Het is een mooie aanvulling op de Artistic Affirmations en heeft mooie grote woorden die een mooi focus punt zijn op een kaart of in scrappen , mixed media projekten of art-journaling. Er staan ook een paar mooie sentimenten op. Boven aan zie je het sheet. Het is een A4 sheet en als je z'on geweldige set wilt winnen, laat dan een commentaar achter op het Chocolate Baroque designteam blog. Glenda zal dan volgende week dinsdag een winnaar kiezen. Dit wil je toch zeker een kans geven!

Binnenkort komen er meer DT creaties. Hou een oogje op het designteam blog en de blogs van mijn teamleden. Kaleidoscope image made of the card

Between all other design work I've managed to create a card with my own stamps........I was eager to work with them and it's such a funny feeling to see your own drawing in rubber and stamp with that.......They are really hand drawn and I don't have any pc program or apps to change or enhance the drawing so for a perfectionist like me.......I am not easy satisfied...but I must say I liked the outcome of them.
I stamped the sunflower with two tones Versamagic onto Basic Grey paper(Lemonade-sunshine) also the leaves and one sunflower to colour with the Derwents soft colour. It was a whole lot of decoupaging but finally I was ready. I stamped the text(a sunny greet) and add a nestie label. The finishing touch was the glitter in the sunflower heart and the pearls. Also used my white gelly pen a lot. Don't leave home without it, LOL

Tussen al het andere design werk is het me gelukt om toch wat te maken met mijn eigen stempels......ik wilde er heel graag  mee aan de slag en het is z'on apart gevoel om je eigen tekening in rubber te zien en er mee te stempelen.... Ze zijn handgetekend en ik heb geen pc programma of apps waarmee ik ze kan veranderen of verbeteren dus voor een perfectionist als ik.....ik ben niet gauw tevreden.....maar ik moet zeggen dat ik wel blij ben met de uitwerking ervan.
Ik heb de zonnebloem gestempeld met 2 kleuren Versamagic op Basic Grey papier(serie lemonade-sunshine) ook de bladeren en een zonnebloem om in te kleuren met de Derwents coloursoft. Het was een aardige klus voor wat betreft het uitsnijden maar eindelijk was ik klaar. De tekst stempel verwerkt op een Nestie label. En als finishing touch de glittertjes in het hart van de zonnebloem en wat pareltjes. Ik heb ook m'n witte gelpen veel gebruikt.

Today some sneak-peaks and news from the Posthumus shop in Amsterdam. They have a new beautiful website where you can take look. You can also see some of my designs on the website.
On March 3rd they will have an open day where the two marvellous stamping brands from Chocolate Baroque and Impression Obsession will 'meet' in a matter of speaking.
There will be a demonstration and maybe you can sign in for coming workshops. I know it will be difficult to join (so sorry) for the people from the UK and US but later I will show you the cards on my blog.

Vandaag wat 'sneakpeaks' en nieuws van de Posthumuswinkel in Amterdam. Zij hebben een prachtig nieuwe website waar je alvast een kijkje kunt nemen. Je kunt er ook diverse voorbeelden van mij zien.
Op 3 maart a.s zal er een open dag zijn waar de 2 geweldige stempelmerken Chocolate Baroque en Impression Obsession 'elkaar ontmoeten'......bij wijze van spreken.
Die dag zal er gedemonstreerd worden en kun je misschien ook al vast inschrijven voor komende workshops. Later zullen de kaarten op het blog te zien zijn.Maar nu vast wat sneakpeaks...........

creations of 'non- stamping ladies.........creaties van 'niet-stempelaars'

Today I want to show you different creations made with the sponging technique by the ladies of the crafting club of my mother(82)! And most of them are above the age of 70! I learned them the sponging technique using some circle and oval templates.It made them very enthusiastic.

Vandaag laat ik jullie verschillende creaties zien gemaakt de sponstechniek gemaakt door dames van de hobbyclub van mijn mas(82)! En de meesten van hen zijn boven de 70! ik leerde hen de sponstechniek met behulp van cirkel of ovalen mallen en langs gescheurd papier. Ze hadden veel plezier en de resultaten zijn prachtig! Ze zijn in ieder geval enthousiast.

this was the only example that was already finished of the 2nd workshop using the emboss technique and sponging. The lady who made this thought she stamped the little bird not well but I told her that I found it nice like that it seems that the little bird is disappearing in the clouds. Sometimes 'mistakes or imperfections' can result in beautiful or funny things! Dit was het enige voorbeeld dat al af was van de 2e workshopmet de embossing techniek en sponzen. De dame die dit maakte dacht dat ze de kleine vogel niet goed had gestempeld maar ik vond het juist wel mooi, het lijkt alsof hij in de wolken verdwijnt. Soms kunnen 'foutjes of imperfecties' juist iets leuks opleveren!

                                  

I am sorry ladies that I don't know any more which one whom made but I think they are all beautiful!

Sorry dames, dat ik niet meer weet wie wat heeft gemaakt maar ik vind dat ze allemaal prachtig zijn!

made by my mother in a 'personal' workshop- I learned her how to make an acrylic bloc technique background-gemaakt door mijn moeder in een 1 op 1 workshop- ik leerde haar hoe je een  achtergrond met de acrylblok achtergrond kon maken

here she used a mask and the emboss. technique  and then  colouring with Tombo markers! Isn't it beautiful? I am proud of my 82 years of age mum!- hier gebruikte ze een masker en de embossing techniek en daarna inkleuren met de Tombo markers! Is het niet mooi? ik ben trots op mijn 82 jarige mams!

Well for now just wanted to say I am proud of these ladies and hope some of them are enthusiastic enough to continue that wonderful crafting called stamping!
Voor nu, rest me nog te zeggen dat ik trots ben op de dames en hoop dat sommigen enthousiast genoeg zijn om deze heerlijke hobby, het stempelen, voort te zetten!

Today I heard that my 2nd sheet has been launched!! So here it is, now I can say that the market  I was talking about earlier is a bee-market! So these sheets are a perfect match! Soon we will make some cards and projects with these stamps so keep watching........
You can also find these sheets at  'Inkerbell stamps'  Sorry for the UK  and US people the sentiments are in Dutch........but there are so few beautiful sentiments in Dutch so that's why. Well you can imagine that I am a bit proud.......

Vandaag hoorde ik dat de tweede sheet ook in de winkel ligt! Dus hier is het, nu kan ik ook zeggen dat de markt waar ik eerder over vertelde , een bijenmarkt is! Dus deze sheets passen daar perfect BIJ, haha
Spoedig zullen we wat kaarten en projekten maken met deze stempels dus blijf kijken.........

Je kunt deze sheets vinden en natuurlijk kopen bij  'Inkerbell stamps' sorry voor de mensen uit Engeland en Amerika, de teksten zijn in het Nederlands.......maar er zijn zo weinig mooie teksten in het Nederlands, dus daarom.......

My first new born stamp sheet!! Mijn eerste pas uitgekomen stempelsheet!!

Today HOT news! My first new born stamp sheet has been launched! A second one will come and is already designed so keep watching! They have the theme 'Sunflowers' and ?????? I was planning to go again to a special(artsy) market in Leiden this year  and my friend Heidi from Inkerbell stamps was also interested to join. And she planned to make a new stamp sheet for this event. I was drawing but it would not work at least I thought so but when I send the pic of my drawing to her she was so enthusiastic that I was given a lot of new inspiration for designing more! And it worked, the lines were flowing on the paper and two new sheets were born. It was so much fun to do and the energy was bubbling over......
Today she told me that they were ready and one of the sheets is already on her website, so if you like take a look.......the sentiments and quotes are in Dutch.

Vandaag hot nieuws! Mijn eerste net uitgekomen stempelsheet! Een tweede is onderweg dus blijf af en toe kijken! Ze hebben het thema 'Zonnegroet'en ???????Ik had weer plannen om dit jaar op een kunstzinnige markt in Leiden te staan en mijn vriendin Heidi van Inkerbell stempels vond dat ook een leuk idee. Leuk om dat samen te doen en natuurlijk ook veel gezelliger! En ze kreeg tevens het plan om hiervoor een nieuw sheet te ontwerpen voor deze gebeurtenis. Ik was aan het tekenen maar het wilde maar niet lukken, dacht ik, maar toen ik een fotootje van een krabbel bij de mail deed was ze zo enthousiast dat ik hierdoor helemaal geinspireerd werd en verder ben gaan tekenen.En het werkte aanstekelijk, de lijnen vlogen over het papier en twee nieuwe sheets werden geboren!! Het was zo leuk om dit samen te doen en de energie stroomde.......
Vandaag vertelde ze me dat ze klaar waren en een van de sheets staat al op haar website, dus als je het leuk vindt, neem een kijkje.......de teksten bij het sheet zijn in het Nederlands. En kijk natuurlijk gerust verder want er zijn zulke mooie sheets te vinden op haar website met prachtige teksten!

Well, now I will show you my creation made with these new dies. I've used almost the same colour combination as in the previous post. I've made a tag card. I've used the  new alphabet die(CS no.19 & 20) for the word "Spring" and also adapted the Creative Petal no. 6 to create an Iris. The leaves are from the new creative shape no.18. 
On the inside I've used the Bo Bunny Jazmyne paper and the Creative tag no.2  with the text Flower greetings(in Dutch) also a clear stamp of Crealies. The little tulip branches are from the new Creative shape no.18. I've stamped the tag with Chocolate Baroque stamps 'Elegant Iris' and sponged the tag with Colorbox pigment inks. I've used a square piece of chipboard to make an embellishment. I've stamped the Iris and coloured with Tombo markers. As a finish I've added Glossy accents.

 Zo, nu laat ik jullie mijn creatie zien die ik gemaakt heb met de nieuwe mallen. Ik heb bijna dezelfde kleurcombinatie gebruikt als in het vorige Crealies bericht. Ik heb de nieuwe alfabet mallen(CS nr.19 en 20) gebruikt voor het woord 'Spring' en ook heb ik de Creative Petal no.6 aangepast om een Iris te maken. De blaadjes zijn van de nieuwe Creative Shape mal no.18. Voor de binnenkant van de kaart heb ik het Bo Bunny papier Jazsmyne gebruikt en de Creative tag no.2 met een clearstempel van Crealies 'Bloemengroet'. Hierbij heb ik ook de tulpen takjes van de Creative Shape nr. 18 gebruikt. Ik heb de tag gestempeld met de Chocolate Baroque sheet ''Elegant Iris'. Verder heb ik de tag gesponst met Colorbox pigment inkt. Links onder heb ik een vierkant stukje chipboard bestempeld met de Iris en gekleurd met Tombo markers. Voor de afwerking nog een laagje Glossy accents.

Crealies challenge 1st of Februar- Creative Petals

Today starts the new month of challenges of Crealies. This month the Creative Petals are in the spotlight. You can do so much with the from tiny to huge size of flowers, they are one of my favourites! I've used CP no. 6 and a beautiful scrap paper from the Bo Bunny Jazmyne line. I've also used the Creative border no.16 and the Creative shapes no.11 and Creative shapes no.9 for the center of the flower.
I was inspired for the lay-out by a card of Nellie van Leeuwen, she uses often such a diagonal piece for her cards. As you can see I did a lot of layering with the card stock. As finishing touch I've added gemstones and tiny pearls on the fragile leaves.

Colours of Spring with Chocolate Baroque.....kleuren van de lente met Chocolate Baroque

Today a card I've made using the new CB stamp sheet 'the Rosetree'. The stamp I've used is a beautiful fragrant flower and I like it very much to work with. I've  made a background using oil pastel crayons and a blending solution. Also used a lot of glittering which I like always! I am really like a magpie........Also used my indispensable white gel pen this time for the centre of the flowers. I've also used the same background behind the image and embossed that with a crafts too folder. A lovely lime coloured ribbon for the finishing touch. And I've also added a sentiment from the sheet 'Artistic affirmations' 
On the picture below you can see the shimmer better, always difficult to catch on the camera.

Vandaag een kaart gemaakt met de nieuwe CB stempelsheet 'the Rosetree'. 
De stempel die ik gebruikt heb is een mooie fragiele bloem, die ik heel fijn vind om mee te werken. De achtergrond is gemaakt met olie pastels en een blending medium. Ook een hoop glitters gebruikt in de bloemen die ik altijd prachtig vind. Ik ben wat dat aan gaat net een ekster........Ook de onmisbare witte gelpen gebruikt voor de hartjes van de bloemen. Ik heb ook dezelfde achtergrond achter de afbeelding gebruikt en geembosst met een Crafts too embossingmal. Een mooi limekleurig lint voor de afwerking. De tekst is van het CB sheet 'Artistic affirmations'.In de foto beneden zie je de glimmers wat beter......altijd moeilijk te vangen op de foto.
