More Sunny Flowers......and the beginning of an Art Journal.....

Hello there,

Here are some more Chocolate Baroque creations, hope you enjoy them! More....... Sunny Flowers!
The first card was in my stash for quiet a while.....on the background an image from the Woodland Dreams sheet embossed with gold on a distressed coloured background. You can also see the use of a Crafters template in there, branches....... I coloured the Sunny flowers in matching colours with Tombo markers.

Nog wat meer Chocolate Baroque creaties, hoop dat je er van geniet! Nog meer....zonnebloemen, Sunny Flowers van CB! De eerste kaart had ik al een tijdje onafgemaakt liggen in mijn voorraad......op de achtergrond een stempel van de Woodland Dreams sheet geembosst met goud op een achtergrond van Distress inkt. Hier kun je ook nog het gebruik van een Crafters too masker zien, de takken.....Ik heb de zonnebloemen in bijpassende kleuren gekleurd met Tombo markers.

The 2nd card was stamped with black ink on the background and some gold embossed sunny flowers and leaves decoupaged in front. This one in more traditional Sunflower colours........

De tweede kaart is gestempeld met zwart op de achtergrond en goud geembosste zonnebloemen en bladeren uitgesneden op de voorgrond. Deze in meer traditionele zonnebloem kleuren.......

And yes I did start an Art Journal, my first one....I did have the materials for quiet a while but did not have the drive to start with it....so I when I was crafting with some friends I had a go......thanks for a great day Miranda( my namesake)
here are the first 3 pages.......also made with those lovely Sunny flowers! I've used Dylusion Inks and Acrylic paint, Gold finger, Crafters too templates........and some modeling paste(great stuff)I've bought a lovely book at a local paint and art supplies store......it's a harmonica book so I can show all the pages in one and can also use the backside.

En ja ik ben begonnen met een Art Journal, mijn eerste......ik had de materialen al een tijdje in huis maar had maar niet de drive om te starten......dus op een gezamenlijke stempeldag met vriendinnen ben ik er mee begonnen......nog bedankt voor een leuke dag Miranda!(mijn naamgenoot)
hier zijn de eerste 3 pagina's.........ook weer met de mooie Sunny Flowers! Ik heb gebruikt: Dylusion inkten, Acryl verf, Gold finger, Crafters too maskers.....en nog wat molding paste oftewel structuur pasta( leuk spul)Ik heb bij de plaatselijke schilder en teken benodigheden winkel een prachtig boekje gekocht.......het is een harmonica model dus je kunt in een keer alle pagina's zien. Ook de achterzijde is te gebruiken, dus letter en figuurlijk veelzijdig!

Here they are one at the time........I would like to add some hand writing but the pages are already very filled...so I did only use some text stamps of Chocolate Baroque, the Artistic Expressions and Artistic Affirmations are also very useful for Art Journaling!

Hier zijn ze een voor een.......ik had eigenlijk ook wat willen schrijven erin maar de pagina's zijn al erg gevuld....dus heb ik alleen de tekst stempels van Chocolate Baroque gebruikt, the Artistic Expressions en Artistic Affirmations , die zijn perfect voor Art-Journaling!

More Chocolate 'delights'......meer Chocolate 'heerlijkheden'

Today some more creations with the beautiful stamps of Chocolate Baroque.........Despite my 'time-out' I was able to play(thanks for that Glenda) with them during the holidays and here are the results! I am still a bit on a break but slowly starting up my engine to pick things up again........it's all still very uncertain in my life at the moment, but then again....life is giving no guaranties at all and creating is something I can't live without!
I've made these ones again using the Distress Seasonal 'Spring' colours. They really give that springtime feeling, which I like far more than these hot summer days!

Vandaag meer creaties met de prachtige Chocolate Baroque stempels......... Ondanks mijn 'time-out' was ik in de gelegenheid om te spelen(bedankt Glenda) tijdens de vakantiedagen en hier zijn de resultaten! ik heb nog steeds een kleine 'time-out' maar begin weer langzaam op te starten en dingen op te pakken......het is allemaal nog erg onzeker in mijn leven.....maar ja.. leven geeft zo ie zo geen garanties encreeeren is iets waar ik niet zonder kan! Ik heb deze weer gemaakt met de Distress seizoens inkten 'Lente'. Ze geven echt dat 'lentegevoel'vind ik, wat ik dan ook veel fijner vindt dan deze broeierige hete zomerdagen!

And I've made a lot of those leaves, so I did use the left overs for another card .I've used an emboss.folder which I inked. Also used the poppy Memorybox die, they are so fragile and lovely! I've added a 'fluffy' flower made of nestabilities and cut it out of tissuepaper. You can see here a video tutorial of it, not by me but by Kitty Franken. She also has some other video tutorials on her blog.

Ik had een heleboel van deze blaadjes gemaakt, dus ik heb de restanten gebruikt voor nog een kaart. Hierbij een emboss.mal gebruikt en deze beinkt.Ook heb ik de Poppy Memorybox mal gebruikt, ze zijn zo fragiel en lieflijk! Ik heb een 'fluffy' bloem gemaakt met Nestabilities en gesneden uit tissue papier. Je kunt hier de videotutorial zien, niet door mij maar door Kitty Franken. Zij heeft ook nog andere videofilmpjes op haar blog staan.
De Memorybox mallen koop ik bij 't Hobbyschuurke in Ridderkerk of bij Doe@Ding in Spijkenisse.

Sunny flowers from Chocolate Baroque.......Zonnige bloemen van Chocolate Baroque

Here is my first creation with the 'Sunny flowers' sheet of Chocolate Baroque. Those flowers and leaves are really smashing , aren't they?

Hier is mijn eerste creatie met de 'Sunny flowers' sheet van Chocolate Baroque. Deze bloemen en blaadjes zijn prachtig, nietwaar?

Sunny Flowers Chocolate Baroque

I've used the Tim Holtz doily die and embossed the flowers with WOW brass emboss.powder and coloured with  the Tombo markers. I've made an inlay with Basic Grey paper and stamped it with the sunny flowers with masking and coloured with the Derwent pencils, still my favorite colour pencil. I have some other brands like Polychromos and Prisma Colours and Bruijnzeel but still keep reaching out for my Derwent Soft colours next to the former Karisma's because I think they are softer, richer......and better with blending and creating layers
here from some different angles.....

Ik heb de Tim Holtz doily snijmal gebruikt en de bloemen geembosst met WOW brass emoss. poeder en gekleurd met de Tombo's. Ik heb de binnenkant  gemaakt van Basic Grey papier en bestempeld met de zonnebloemen en maskertechniek. Hierna zijn ze gekleurd met de Derwent Soft Colours, nog steeds mijn favouriete potlood......Ik heb wat andere merken erbij zoals Polychromos, Prisma colours, Bruijnzeel maar vind nog steed het Derwent net zoals de voormalige Karisma het mooiste pigment en zachtheid hebben.

I had a play with the 'Poppies' - Ik heb gespeeld met de 'Poppies'

Despite my break, the creative process is continuing.... and I had a play with the beautiful Poppie stamps from Chocolate Baroque.....also started an art-journal with the Chocolate stamps and will show you that later........
I was inspired by the seasonal distress inks of the Spring and made this card with it. I've coloured the image directly with the distress markers on the rubber and used the water pencil for the Aquarel effect. It's like you are painting only the design is already made for you! The shape of the card is inspired by a dear friend, Anita who has created it. She creates beautiful things so you can hop over if you like. It's very simple...just score two corners of the card and use it as a support standard for the card. On the background you can see one of my CB favorites 'Texture fragments'. Ans again I've used the 'Amira flourish' die from Memorybox.

Ondanks mijn time-out/break , gaat het creatieve proces door......en heb ik eindelijk wat gespeeld met de mooie Poppie stamps van Chocolate Baroque.
Ik was geinspireerd door de mooie kleuren van de seizoens distress inkten 'Lente' en heb deze kaart er mee gemaakt. Ik heb de afbeelding direct gekleurd met de distress markers op het rubber en bewerkt met de waterpenseel voor een aquareleffect.
Het is net alsof je schildert alleen is het ontwerp al voor je gemaakt! De vorm van de kaart is geinspireerd door een lief mens, Anita, die hem ontworpen heeft. Ze maakt ook hele mooie dingen dus als je zin hebt hop even over... Het is heel simpel, ril twee hoeken van de kaart en gebruik ze als standaard. Op de achtergrond zie je een van mijn favoriete CB stempels ''Texture fragments'. En weer heb ik de 'Amira flourish' snijmal van Memorybox gebruikt.


Deze stempelsheet is ook te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam!!

A few more sea shell creations......nog een paar zee schelpen creaties

This is a simple card using the resist technique with WOW white pearl emboss. powder and sponging with Colorbox pigment inks in aqua tones and purple

Here are some more sea theme creations made with the IO stamps........I've used the large solid leaf and worked with the kissing technique using the funky Cover a card background. The shells are all embossed with WOW sparkling emboss. powders in different aqua colours.

Hier zijn nog meer zee thema creaties met de IO stempels.......Ik heb het grote dichte blad gebruikt en gewerkt met de kissing techniek gebruik makend van de funky cover a card achtergrond. De schelpen zijn allemaal geembosst met WOW sparkling emboss. poeders in        verschilllende aqua tinten.


At the 2nd card I've used again the funky Cover a card background inked up with several colours of Colorbox pigment ink.Embossed with WOW clear gloss emboss. powder. The shell is a square frame stamp from IO. And the beautiful lace border is from the Lace Fragments from Chocolate Baroque. This one is stamped with Memento inks. I layered it all onto different kind of paper and two matching ribbons.....

Bij de tweede kaart heb ik ook weer de funky achtergrond gebruikt beinkt met diverse kleuren colorbox pigment inkt en geembosst met WOW clear gloss emboss. poeder. De schelp is een vierkante framestempel van IO. En de prachtige kantrand is van de Lace Fragments sheet van Chocolate Baroque. Deze is gestempeld met Memento inkten. Gemat op diverse soorten papier en twee bijpassende lintjes.....

The 3rd card is made with the same background stamp, colour combi and inks. Only I've used here the WOW neutral ultra shimmer emboss. powder. The large shell is embossed using purple glitz emboss. powder from WOW and coloured with Tombo markers. Also used a lace border from the same Lace Fragments sheet from Chocolate Baroque. All used stamps can be bought at the Posthumusshop in Amsterdam and for all other people from overseas ofcourse at Impression Obsession and Chocolate Baroque.
De 3e kaart is gemaakt met dezelfde achtergrond stempel, kleuren combi en inkten. Alleen heb ik hier de WOW neutral ultra shimmer emboss. poeder gebruikt. De grote schelp is geembosst met WOW purple glitz en gekleurd met Tombo markers. Ook hier weer een mooie kanten border gebruikt van de Lace Fragments van CB.
Alle gebruikte stempels zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

Some lovely Chocolate Baroque flowers- enkele mooie Chocolate Baroque bloemen

Today some Chocolate Baroque cards I've made for the event in Zeist a while ago........I've stamped the image first with white ink and overstamped slightly next to the first image again with green ink. Than coloured with my Derwents.
The image is from the 'Lily'sheet. Also the small leaves on the background are from this sheet. The sentiment is from the 'Butterfly dreams' sheet.

Vandaag enkele Chocolate Baroque creaties die ik heb gemaakt voor het event in Zeist een tijdje geleden......Ik heb de afbeelding eerst met wit gestempeld en daarna nog een keer iets ernaast met groene inkt. Toen ingekleurd met m'n Derwents.
De stempel is van de 'Lily'sheet. Ook de kleine blaadjes op de achtergrond zijn van dit sheet. De tekst is van de 'Butterfly dreams' sheet.

This image is from the 'Fragrant Honeysuckle' sheet. Stamped and embossed with WOW black glint, a beautiful black EP with a sparkle...... The main image is coloured with the Tombo markers and decoupaged. On the backround I've used also a Memory box die, the Amira flourish.The sentiment is from the 'Words of Inspiration' sheet.

Deze afbeelding is van de 'Fragrant Honeysuckle' sheet. Gestempeld en geembosst met WOW black glint. een mooi zwarte EP met een schitter..... De hoofd afbeelding is gekleurd met Tombo markers en gedeeltelijk  verhoogd. Op de achtergrond heb ik ook een Memorybox snijmal gebruikt, de Amira flourish. Deze mallen zijn te koop bij Doe @Ding en het Hobbyschuurke . De tekst is van de 'Words of Inspiration' sheet.

More flowers from IO......meer bloemen van IO

Two more creations with the designs of Aislinn Adams at IO. The 1st one is a very less is more card but the image does not need more I think........it's a single Dogwood embossed with WOW brass EP and coloured with waterbased markers. The text is also IO.

Nog twee creaties met de ontwerpen van Aislinn Adams van IO. De eerste is een ' meer is minder' kaart maar de afbeelding heeft niet veel meer nodig denk ik........het is een enkele Dogwood/Kornoelje geembosst met WOW brass EP en gekleurd met de Tombo markers. De tekst is ook van IO en verkrijgbaar bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

The 2nd card is also the same Dogwood design......... stamped onto Kraft paper and coloured with the Derwent pencils. The background is stamped with another Dogwood design and I've used Memento inks.


De tweede kaart is ook gemaakt met dezelfde Dogwood....gestempeld op kraft papier en gekleurd met de Derwent potloden. De achtergrond is gestempeld met een andere Dogwood stempel en hier heb ik de Memento inkten gebruikt.

Flowers and more flowers.......bloemen en nog eens bloemen......

Today some creations which I've made for the event in Zeist. Made with the beautiful designs of Aislinn Adams for Impression Obsession. She draws such beautiful flower designs.....come and have a look......
Here is the 1st one which also joins the Impression Obsession  'dies challenge'. Although I am sorry to say that I haven't got a die from IO yet......but I have enough IO stamps to make that right. I've used a X-cut die  and a Nestabilitie die called deckled rectangle for the sentiment. I've used the beautiful Rhododendron (G12008) . I stamped the background with plain black and after that I've coloured ly with my Tombo markers directly on the rubber stamp. With use of a waterpencil I coloured the flower and add some extra colours. This is such a lovely aquarel technique. You don't have to be an artist but just follow the lines and shadow which are already there........The sentiment is also an IO stamp (C8761)

Ze tekent zulke mooie bloem ontwerpen.....kom en neem een kijkje........ Hier is de eerste die ook meedoet met de Impression Obsession  'dies challenge'. Hoewel ik het jammer vind dat ik nog geen snijmallen heb van IO.......ik heb genoeg stempels om het goed te maken. Ik heb de X-cut mal gebruikt en een Nestabilitie , de deckled rectangle voor de tekst. Ik heb de mooie Rhododendron (G12008) gebruikt .
De achtergrond is gewoon met zwart gestempeld en daarna  gekleurd met Tombo's direct op de rubber stempel voor de gekleurde afbeelding in het midden. Met gebruik van de waterpenseel de bloem verder uitgewerkt en nog wat extra kleuren toegevoegd. Dit is z'on heerlijke aquareltechniek. Je hoeft echt geen kunstenaar te zijn maar volg gewoon de lijnen en schaduwen van de stempel, die staan er namelijk al.....De tekst is ook een IO stempel(C8761)

The 2nd card is made with the lovely 'Crab Apple'(H12009) which I have stamped on Kraft paper. Also one of my favorite colouring techniques. On the background you can see the same image but embossed with WOW platinum embossing powder. Also used a Nestability die for the main image. This time coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, still my favorites.......

De tweede kaart is gemaakt met de lieflijke 'Crab Apple' oftwel appelbloesem(H12009) welke ik op Kraft papier heb gestempeld. Ook een van mijn favoriete kleurtechnieken. Op de achtergrond kun je dezelfde afbeelding zien maar dan geembosst met WOW platinum emboss.poeder. Ook hier weer een Nestability gebruikt. Deze keer gekleurd met de Derwent Coloursoft potloden. Nog steeds mijn favorieten......

Al deze materialen zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam. Plan in de vakantie eens een leuk dagje Amsterdam en ga eens langs........
