Workshop Tyvek!

WORKSHOP TYVEK

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag even een blogpost om iemand te introduceren en gelijk een workshop aan te kondigen. Op bovenstaande foto's  zie je diverse stukjes bewerkt Tyvek.
Tyvek is een veelzijdig materiaal waar je heel leuke effecten mee kunt bereiken. Vaak hebben we het in huis, gekocht op een beurs  en weten we nog steeds niet echt wat we er nu mee kunnen. Hier krijg je antwoord op in de workshop TYVEK die wordt gegeven door Joke Hardenbol. Zij is zeer veelzijdig en werkt intuitief met papier en textiel. Tijdens de workshop wordt op verschillende manieren met Tyvek gewerkt en krijg je proefjes en uitleg op papier mee zodat je een naslagwerkje hebt!
Lijkt het je leuk en heb je altijd al graag wat met Tyvek willen doen, meld je aan! ( Ik ga ook.....)

Another hand challenge inspiration........nog een 'handchallenge' inspiratie

Hi there,

Today I've finished another card for the CB hand challenge, this time a pocket card. I've created the label on an unforgettable day when we met Shirley, my teamie from Chocolate Baroque and designs by Ryn. I've promised also to share some photo's of that day so I will add them too. But first the card.......We had a play that day with the Distress paints so I've used them on the tag with a Crafters template Casey&Penelope and some stamps of the 'Steampunk Butterfly' from Chocolate Baroque. I've worked in my favorite colourcombi of the moment. (I've used it a lot in my books) Hope to challenge you to join........look at the Ning website for more info and work of other people who did join.......I would like to see your 'hand'work!

Hallo daar,

Vandaag heb ik nog een kaart gemaakt voor de CB handchallenge, deze keer een pocket kaart. Ik heb de label gemaakt op een onvergetelijke dag toen ik Shirley voor het eerst ontmoette, mijn teammaatje bij Chocolate Baroque en designs by Ryn. Ik had ook beloofd nog wat foto's te laten zien van die dag dus die zal ik er ook bij doen. Well here is a collage made with  some photo's of our very inspirational and lovely day, meeting Marja, Shirley and some family of Shirley! Of course we did craft and talked and eat and shared........

Zo, hier een collage van wat foto's van een inspirerende en heerlijke dag waar ik Marja en Shirley en familie van Shirley ontmoette! Natuurlijk hebben we gestempeld en gekletst, gegeten en gedeeld......

Playing with alcohol inks........Gespeeld met alcohol inkten......

Hello there,

Today I want to show you the results of my play with alcohol inks........just as a lot of media they are neglected by me and I really love them! In the mean time I've built up a large stash of backgrounds waiting to transform into cards. I always create several backgrounds at the same time so I can pick some when needed.
I've made a mottled background of brown ,black and grey shades and I was thinking of a sort of stone or marble where the Lucine butterflies could sit on. They are perfect camouflage here.
Finally I stamped some of the Trickling water and Trickling waterset of designs by Ryn. I removed a bit of the colour our of the droplets with blending solution to give them more depth.

Vandaag laat ik jullie wat resultaten zien van mijn spelen met alcoholinkten.......net zoals met wel meer materialen verwaarloos ik ze een beetje en ik vind ze altijd zo gaaf! Ik heb er ook inmiddels een aardig voorraadje achtergronden mee gemaakt die klaar liggen om gebruikt te worden. Ik maak altijd diverse achtergronden tegelijk zodat ik altijd wat kan pakken wanneer nodig.
Ik heb een beetje bont gemengde achtergrond van bruin, grijs en zwart tinten gemaakt en ik dacht aan een soort steen of marmer waar de Lucine butterflies mooi op konden zitten. Ze zijn mooi gecamoufleerd hier. Tot slot heb ik  nog wat van de Trickling water en de Trickling waterset gestempeld van de designs van Ryn. Ik heb wat kleur uit de druppels weggehaald met blending solution zodat ze meer diepte krijgen.

Lucine butterfly in green shades........Lucine vlinder in groene tinten

Hello there,

Today another creation with the Lucine butterfly and Leopard spots from designs by Ryn. This time in shades of green and some gold accents.I've used WOW gold and glitter gold embossing powder for the 'Three leaves set'. I really love this furry flying creature! Again a background which was still hidden in my stash. If I remember well I've made this with ecoline inks and salt on waterbased paper.. I decoupaged the Lucine butterfly and added glossy accents to the body. You can see it here.....

Vandaag een andere variatie met de Lucine vlinder en de Leopard spots van designs by Ryn. Deze keer in verschillende groen tinten en wat goud accenten. Ik heb de 'Three Leaves set' geembosst met WOW goud en glitter goud embossing poeder. Weer een achtergrond die nog verstopt was in mijn voorraad. Als ik me goed herinner heb ik het gemaakt met ecoline en zout op aquarelpapier.Ik heb de vlinders uitgeknipt en wat glossy accents op het lijfje gegeven. Hier kun je het zien.........

je kunt er here( Glenda's blog) en here (the CB Ning site) alles over lezen. Ik geloof dat ik de aanzet was voor deze challenge want ik maakte destijds met de nieuwe India stempels deze hand creatie. Ik had 'm hier nog niet laten zien maar op het  DT blog. Je kunt ook de andere creaties bekijken van de teamleden, ze zijn allemaal verschillend en uniek! Hun blogs kun je vinden in de zijbalk van mijn blog. We zouden het super vinden om ook jouw hand creatie te zien, dus doe je mee?

Dit zijn de  Indian stempels  die ik gebruikt heb bij deze creatie.

I could write a whole story about HANDS and what they mean to me but that would be on another blog, something like 'a Miracle Life  Inspirations' LOL
I really hope you will join! You don't have to be an artist or create 'perfect' artwork whatever that might be but just enjoy en play with colours, paint, inks and anything else you want to use to give 'birth'to your hands!

Ik hoop echt dat je meedoet! Je hoeft geen kunstenaar te zijn of een perfect kunstwerk te maken, wat dat dan ook moge zijn, maar gewoon genieten, spelen met kleur, verf, inkt en alles wat je zou willen gebruiken om vorm aan jouw handen te geven!

Lucine butterfly and Leopard spots, more designs by Ryn.....

Today I want to show you some of the creations made with the lovely designs from Ryn. I worked with the Lucine butterfly and the Leopard spots together.When I saw these spots I thought they would match perfect with the spots on the wings of a butterfly. Butterflies are also a bit hairy when you see them close-by.
I've had some backgrounds in my stash for a long time and this one is made with a crafters template, 'Flutter by' TCW 206, so it is a positive and a negative one with the same colours. 

Vandaag wil ik jullie een paar creaties laten zien met de  mooie ontwerpen van designs by Ryn. Ik heb gewerkt met de Lucine butterfly en de Luipaard vlekken samen. Toen ik deze vlekken zag vond ik ze perfect passen bij de vlekken op de vleugels van een mot of vlinder. Vlinders en motten zijn ook een beetje harig als je ze van dichtbij ziet.
De achtergronden had ik al een tijdje liggen en deze maakt ik met een Crafters template 'Flutter by' TCW 206, dus ik heb zowel de positieve als negatieve afdruk met dezelfde kleuren gebruikt.Ik koop deze stencils meestal bij de Stamping corner. Deze heeft een grote collectie. Ook Doe@Ding heeft er een aantal in de collectie.

This is the first one with the negative use of the stencil, there are also lots of glimmer sprays to see and I've embossed the Leopard spots with gold embossing. I've coloured the butterflies with pearlescent paint and cut them out. The quote is from Impression Obsession.

Dit is de eerste met het negatief gebruik van het stencil, je ziet ook heel wat glimmer spray en ik heb de vlekken geembosst met goud. Ik heb de vlinders gekleurd met pearlescent verf en uitgeknipt. De tekst is van Impression Obsession (Posthumus winkel)

The 2nd one is the positive use of the stencil and I've embossed with copper embossing and Cobalt Aurora from Cosmic Shimmer. The quote is also from Impression Obsession.

De tweede is gemaakt met de positieve kant van het stencil en ik heb geembosst met Koper en Lapis Cobalt Aurora embossing poeder van Cosmic Shimmer(Doe@Ding) De tekst is ook weer van Impression Obsession en is te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

More Punky flowers........nog meer Punky Flowers van Chocolate Baroque

Looks like Spring is really here now mmm? I've got some more Punky Flowers creations to show........I've been working with Mulberry or Washi  paper.  It works also great with heat embossing and also with stamping, spraying water and inks. I was working and demoing with this paper on the stamping event in Zeist and have some unfinished projects so will show them later. The background of this card is made with the 'crunchy tissue paper technique' and is very easy but takes a little time.

Het lijkt nu wel alsof de lente echt begonnen is he? Ik heb nog meer Punky Flowers creaties te laten zien.......ik heb gewerkt met Mulberry papier oftwel Washi papier. Het werkt goed met embossing en ook prima met stempelen en gebruik van water en inkt. Ik heb er mee gewerkt op het AS event in Zeist en heb daarvan nog de nodige onafgemaakte kaarten dus die zal ik ook later laten zien.
De achtergrond van deze kaart is gemaakt met de 'kreuk tissue papier techniek' en is heel gemakkelijk maar vergt wel wat tijd. Daar achter zie je een laag van Color core die geembosst is en geschuurd.

Now on to the 2nd one, a 3 fold card with also use of the Mulberry paper. An embossed panel on Color core paper with some sanding. And on the first panel plain stamping and colouring with pencils. The sentiment Happy Birthday is also from CB.

Nu naar de volgende, een kaart in 3 gevouwen en ook weer met het Mulberry papier. een geembosst paneel met Color core en schuren. Op het eerste paneel een simpele afdruk gekleurd met Derwent kleurpotloden. De tekst Happy Birthday is ook van CB.

Punky flowers...new stamps at Chocolate Baroque....nieuwe stempels Chocolate Baroque!

First I want to say 'welcome' to any new followers, hope to inspire you with my art and encourage you to make the world a bit more beautiful with the art of stamping!

Maybe you've sen it already but there is a launch of a new gorgeous 'steampunk'like sheet called 'Punky flowers'! It's lovely and has a mix of steampunk, stylized and elegant flowers. You can see it here.

Ten eerste wil ik nieuwe volgers 'welkom' heten en hoop jullie te inspireren met mijn creaties en je aan te moedigen om de wereld een beetje mooier te maken met stempelkunst!

Misschien hebben jullie het al gezien maar er is weer nieuwe prachtige 'steampunk'achtige sheet genaamd 'Punky flowers'! Het is een mooie mix van steampunk en gestileerde elegant bloemen. Je kunt 'm hier zien.

I've made two similar creations using a different colour combi but the same stamps and technique. These stamps appeal to your fantasy and to think outside the box! You will see several variations of the other talented teamies! So come and take a look at their blogs and the DT blog!

Ik heb twee ongeveer dezelfde creaties gemaakt met verschillende kleurcombi's, dezelfde stempels en technieken. Deze stempels doen zeker een beroep op je fantasie en out of the box denken oftwel een andere manier denken dat het 'gewoonlijke'.

Here are the first two of my go with these stamps,

the first one has warm earthtone colours and the gears are made by triple embossing with gold. The edges are also embossed. Some elements of the stamp are coloured using gold ecoline. The quote is from the Artistic Affirmations sheet.

Hier zijn de eerste twee gemaakt met deze stempels, de eerste heeft warme aardekleuren en de raderen zijn gemaakt door een paar maal te embossen met goud. De randen zijn ook geembosst. Sommige delen zijn ingekleurd met goud en zilver kleurige inkt hetgeen mooi dekt. De tekst is van de Artistic Affirmations sheet.

Here is the 2nd one in cool colours and silver.....the backgrounds are made with  blendings Distress inks and using misters for waterdrops. I've used the special stamping paper from Ranger.

Hier is de tweede in koele kleuren en zilver......de achtergrond is gemaakt met Distress inkten te blenden en water spray voor een druppel effect. ik heb hier het special stamping paper van Ranger gebruikt.
