Roses are red my love.......but sometimes they are not.....

Hi there blogreaders,

I have made some rose cards which I have not shown yet.....maybe it's nice to get some inspiration! Hope you enjoy it.....

I have used several mediums for the backgrounds and coloring of the flowers, working with fluid inks....refills of the Molotov water based markers and also Distress inks with the acrylic bloc technique.

Here are the samples working with the Molotov refills and water misting......fun to do.... some colors of the Molotov refills break up in two colors.........you can see that at the grey color of the sky.......a small edge of a greenish color appears....how nice....you can't plan that.....just let it go and flow!

I have used different brands of stamps, Impression Obsession and Penny Black for the branches.

The first two cards are made on watercolor paper called ' Terschelling smooth' 300grs. from Schut. It's a great paper with a very smooth surface which creates a velvet look.

Ik heb een aantal rozenkaarten die ik nog niet heb laten zien voor jullie........misschien leuk voor wat inspiratie
Hoop dat jullie er van kunnen genieten.....

Ik heb hier diverse mediums gebruikt voor de achtergronden en het kleuren van de bloemen, werken met vloeibare inkten op waterbasis........navullingen van de Molotov aqua markers en ook Distress inkten met de acrylblok techniek.

Hieronder eerst de voorbeelden die met de Molotov refills zijn gemaakt....leuk om te doen en sommige van de kleuren scheiden zich in 2 kleuren waardoor je leuke onverwachte effecten krijgt. Kijk maar naar het stukje grijs in de lucht wat een klein groen randje heeft gekregen....hoe mooi....je kunt dat niet plannen....gewoon laten gaan en vloeien....

Ik heb bij deze kaarten buiten de Impression Obsession rozen ook de takken stempel van Penny Black gebruikt. De eerste twee kaarten zijn gemaakt op het mooie papier van Schut en heet ; Terschelling glad , 300 grs. Werk ik altijd erg graag mee voor de aquarel kaarten.

And on canvas paper using also Molotov refills.......the colors are more vibrant than the Distress inks.....

En op het leuke canvas papier ook weer met de Molotov refills.......de kleuren zijn helderder dan de Distress inkten.....

Now onto the Distress inks.......can you see the difference in color? This one is also made using canvas paper....

Nu over naar de Distress inkten.......kun je het verschil inkleur zien? Ook deze weer op canvas papier.....

And again on canvas paper ....here you can see the last layer of the branches is embossed using gold embossing powder

En weer canvas papier......hier is de laatste laag van de takken geembosst met goud.

here you can see that the lower branches were embossed too.....

And Distress inks with the acrylic bloc technique on watercolor paper of Schut

Distress inkten met de acrylblok techniek op Schut aquarelpapier.

And the last one using the lovely orchids from Impression Obsession. All stamps on this card are from IO.

En de laatste met de mooie orchideeën van Impression Obsession. Al de stempels op deze kaart zijn van IO.

Christmas Oldies from Penny Black

Some older Christmas creations made with the Penny Black Christmas stamps from Penny Black. 

Here I have used the lovely poinsettia en a ' branches' stamp which is very versatile.....all the sentiments are also from Penny Black.

Here are some other cards using these ' branches' stamp using Dutch sentiments....

Healing....A journey traveled one step at a time

This time I will show you my first creation made with lovely quotes from Verses. The coming time I will be showing more of their great collection of quotes and sentiments. Always like to work with beautiful sentiments so I am happy to be on the Design team.And I can use their sentiments with other work too.

I have made a soft toned creation using their sentiment ' Healing.....A journey traveled one step at a time........

I also used the beautiful background from Penny Black(Damask) and the rose is from Studio Light. You can also see some fragments of a text stamp on the background, I believe it was from Artemio.

I have used Distress inks with the acrylic bloc technique.(Pumice stone and Victorian Velvet)
