Vibrant colors on this Hummingbird.......

Today my last one from this batch.........I have enjoyed it to create them and I think the participants did too.

This time a very colorful and fiery one......

Vandaag de laatste van deze serie... ik heb genoten om ze te maken en ik denk de deelnemers van de workshops ook.

Deze keer een zeer kleurrijke en vurige...

These are the stamps I have used:

Day Lily

Trickling water set 2

Booted Racket tail hummingbird

 and a text fragment stamp from Darkroomdoor.

These were the two other samples the participants could choose from, but I have published them earlier this year........or maybe even the previous year......time is running fast!

Hieronder de andere twee voorbeelden waar de deelnemers ook uit konden kiezen maar die had ik al eerder dit jaar..of was het vorig jaar laten zien........tijd gaat zo hard!

Well, I really hope that Ryn will create more new designs because she is one of my favorite designers who creates art with heart and soul!

 Her water droplets are unique and I never saw anything that was more beautiful.......so maybe....I hope new birds will be born or something else that will be magical.....

 Ik hoop echt dat Ryn weer nieuwe ontwerpen zal gaan maken want ze is een van mijn favoriete ontwerpers die kunst maakt met hart en ziel! Haar waterdruppels zijn uniek en ongeëvenaard . Misschien worden er weer nieuwe vogels geboren of iets anders magisch.......

Today as promised another one from the Hummingbird series.....yes I create them in series.......need to make a book with them and some with going stories or poems maybe.....I love these fragile and elegant birds.......

All with greens and blue shades.......and the same fluid inks.....

Hallo lieve mensen,

Vandaag zoals beloofd een andere van de Hummingbird serie......ja, ik maak ze in series inmiddels.....zou een boek moeten maken in combinatie met een verhaal of gedicht..... Ik hou van deze tere en mooie vogeltjes......

Alles in groen en blauw tinten......en natuurlijk vloeibare inkten op de achtergrond.

Alle stempels zie je hierboven genoemd.

Colorful hummingbirds from designs by Ryn........1st one

Hi lovely people,

Today I want to show you the 1st variation I have made on my previous Hummingbird creations. I have made several samples for some workshops.......made with fluid inks and lots of coloured layers with pencils.

So come on and join me on my colorful voyage......

1st one with shades of blue, green and purple.....

Vandaag wil ik jullie de 1e variatie op mijn vorige serie Hummingbirds laten zien  die ik gemaakt heb. Ik heb diverse voorbeelden gemaakt voor de workshops bij Leuke Stempels afgelopen mei en juni. Ze zijn ook weer gemaakt met vloeibare inkten en veel lagen kleurpotlood.

Dus...kom je mee op een kleurrijke reis....

Craftsheets are indispensable for creative working.......

Today something different.....just want to let you know that my craft sheets are indispensable for the work that I do...........I have a company that produces them in all sizes........GREAT!!!

I order them for my workshops there and I can deceide which size I will need.

It's called:

They have also their own blog for which they invite crafters of all kinds to write a post and they tell the crafting world how important their craft sheet is........

Well, here is my post.........just some photo's which show what I am doing with it.......

The text on the photo is in Dutch so I will do a little translation for you......

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag even wat anders.......wil jullie graag laten weten hoe onmisbaar mijn craftsheet is voor mijn werk.   Ik koop ze dan ook bij een bedrijf waar ze in allerlei maten gemaakt worden van klein tot groot. Ook voor de workshops koop ik ze daar in en kan zelf bepalen in welke maat.

Het heet:

Ze hebben ook hun eigen blog waarop ze allerlei creatievelingen uitnodigen om hun ervaring met het craftsheet te delen, je kunt het hier vinden....

I always gather everything I need to create my project on the craft sheet........it's very easy to have a craft sheet which has the same size as your working table......

Here I am going the create a background using ecolines, lots of water and spraying

using a soft brush I apply several colors of the Ecolines and use a lot of water to let them flow

than adding some white Ecoline.........

make the white Ecoline(which has a lot more pigment) more fluid by mixing it with water, I use the craft sheet as a palette

just spatter with the brush some of the white Ecoline on your paper and let it flow......

in between wipe off the left over inks with a kitchen towel  

in between layers heat dry using a heat tool....you can dry on your craft sheet because it is heat resistant.......

Spray some water on the craft sheet and use it as an ' ink pad' to press your stamp on

Press the wet stamp on the paper, leave it for a while and than press a piece of kitchen towel on it to pull out the ink.....you can see the structure of the stamp......

Repeat again but now use some white Ecoline.......

This also creates a nice structure.....

the craft sheet is great for all kind of blending techniques too.....

I always put my inks on my craft sheet and use it from there to blend........you will keep your ink pads more clean by doing that instead of taking the ink out of the pad with your tool......

Removing ink or paint which has become solid.....I use a Catalyst tool to scrape it of........

And this was the final piece.......( but you have seen it before...)

En dit was het uiteindelijke werkstuk.......( wat jullie al een keer gezien hebben)

Er zijn vele mogelijkheden om op het craft sheet te werken, alles kan en ook is het zo weer schoon te maken.........het enige wat je niet moet doen is met scherpe voorwerpen erop werken. Zonder mijn craft sheet zou mijn creatieve wereld er heel anders uitzien.....onmisbaar!

Beautiful Magnolia from Studio Light

Today, as promised.....the beautiful Magnolia from Studio Light. The background was made some while ago....as I remember well I did use fluid inks and a stencil which creates lovely rays of light......As you can see I also did some spattering with silver and white inks......

I stamped the flower using Memento inks, Rhubarb stalk and Loveletter for the flower and plain black for the branch. Also did some masking......

Vandaag, zoals beloofd.....de mooie Magnolia van Studio Light. De achtergrond had ik al een tijdje geleden gemaakt.......als ik me goed herinner met vloeibare inkten en een stencil dat mooie stralen van licht creëert. Zoals je ziet heb ik gespetterd met zilver en witte inkt......

And again...I did color the flowers using coloured pencils........

En ook hier weer...gekleurd met kleurpotloden........

Blue and green and Chocolate Baroque.......

Today another post using fluid inks and Chocolate Baroque stamps. I have used one of the flowerhead stamps, the swirl center flowerhead and a fragment of the Damask Panel, love that one.....

I have used some green and blue inks for the background and stamped the flowerhead 3 times and colored it with pencils. One flowerhead is embossed using gold and colored with waterbased markers.

Vandaag een andere post met de vloeibare inkten en CB stempels. Ik heb de swirl center flowerhead en een fragment van de Damask Panel gebruikt. Vind dat Damask panel erg leuk....... Ik heb voornamelijk blauw en groen gebruikt op de achtergrond en de bloem 3x gestempeld. Daarna gekleurd met kleurpotloden. Ook de bloem nog een keer geembosst met goud en gekleurd met markers op waterbasis. Hierna nog wat accenten witte acrylmarker(Molotov geeft voor mij nog steeds het witste accent)

Heerlijk spelen met de Inkerbell stempels.....gastdesigner Miranda Degenaars

Today a post as a guest designer for my friend at Inkerbell stamps. I had a lovely play with these stamps and want to show my takes on them. Some different styles to see here........
I have played with the sheets: Gerbera, Zoals het is,  Geloof in jezelf', ' Klaproos,(poppy), ' het Gebed dat verhoord werd', '  Abstracte rozen' and Abstracte takken en bladeren'.
They design and produce their own rubber-stamps.


Hallo lieve bloglezers,

Ik heb heerlijk kunnen spelen met een paar van mijn favoriete Inkerbell stempels en wil graag dat met jullie delen. Michel vroeg me of ik gastdesigner wilde zijn en hier de resultaten.......in zeer verschillende stijlen.

Ik ben aan de slag gegaan met de mooie Gerbera bloem van het gelijknamig sheet, de sheet ' Zoals het is', de  en ' Tijd voor een feestje' met het mooie meisje.De tekst van het prachtige sheet ' Geloof in jezelf'  heb ik subtiel in de achtergrond gestempeld.

The background was made using Ecoline inks with water misting on water based paper. Only shades of blue and green and afterwards I coloured with some color pencils.

This creation touched me in a personal way.........I will sure make her again some time......

De achtergrond is gemaakt met ecoline inkten en water op aquarel papier. Dit keer heb ik het bij blauw groen tinten gehouden en later met kleurpotlood wat accenten gegeven.

Dit werkstuk raakte me bijzonder, dat heb ik niet zo vaak maar met deze zeker........ga haar dan ook zeker nog een keer maken....

The 2nd card has been made with the ' Poppy' and a Donna Downey stencil at the background. I worked on the great canvas paper and this time we applied the ecoline on the acrylic bloc.

De tweede kaart is gemaakt met de ' Klaproos' en een stencil van Donna Downey in de achtergrond. Deze is gemaakt op het mooie canvaspapier, dit keer met de Ecolines op een acrylblok.

In de achtergrond een subtiele tekst van het prachtige sheet ' het Gebed dat verhoord werd'.  Hierop staan twee prachtige gedichten.

And at last something very different from what you are used from me......abstract work using abstract design stamps, very nice to play with.......a bit Donna Downey style..... also using Ecoline inks, white and black fineliner en black pearl pen.

En tot slot een creatie in een geheel andere stijl, maar heel leuk om mee te spelen. Gemaakt met de sheets '  Abstracte rozen' en ' Abstracte takken en bladeren' . Ik was geïnspireerd door een werkstuk van Donna Downey........En ook weer met de ecoline inkten, witte en zwarte fineliner en zwarte parelpen.
