More Poppies.........

Hello there,

Today again some of the Pretty Poppies from Chocolate Baroque.These two cards are very simple and sometimes an image does not need much more. The first one is gold embossed and coloured with waterbased markers. On the background the fragment of the Dusky Damask sheet stamped with shades of Memento greens.The poppie flowers are decoupaged.
The 2nd card is even more simple, just used archival black ink and coloured with the same markers. Very suitable for a beginner......

Vandaag alweer wat van de Pretty poppies sheet van Chocolate Baroque. Deze twee kaarten zijn zeer simpel en soms heeft een afbeelding ook niet meer nodig. De eerste is goud geembosst en gekleurd met stiften op waterbasis. op de achtergrond een fragmentstempel van de Dusky Damask sheet gestempeld met diverse tinten Memento groen.De klaproos bloemen en knoppen zijn extra uitgeknipt en verhoogd.
De tweede kaart is zelfs nog simpeler, gewoon watervaste zwarte inkt en gekleurd met dezelfde stiften. Heel geschikt voor beginners....hier zijn ze.......

Well this was a short message not much to explain only maybe that the first sentiment is from the 'Words of Inspiration' sheet and the 2nd quote is from the Poppies sheet.

Zo, dit was een kort berichtje, niet zo veel uit te leggen alleen misschien dat de eerste tekst van de 'Words of Inspiration'sheet is en de tweede staat op de Poppies sheet zelf.

Today a card which I've made during the holidays in an for me unusual colour combination. But when the card progressed I fell in love with the colours and the appearance of it. Sometimes I have that....I mean falling in love with a creation of yourself , do you recognize that or am I the only one.... LOL
On the background (acrylbloc technique) I've used the Dusky Damask sheet and when it was dry I took a beautiful cross from the 'With Sympathy' sheet. I told it once before but I am always attracted to cross designs.
The colours I've used are Memento Paris Dusk/Gray Flannel/London Fog. The London Fog gives that 'taupe' effect. I also used the new Crealies border die no. 21 en added some pearly accents. The text is from the same sheet 'With Sympathy'.
Here it is.....in one way or another these colours reminds me of something but I don't know what......

Vandaag een kaart die ik in de vakantie gemaakt heb in een voor mij ongewone kleurencombinatie. Maar toen de kaart vorderde werd ik verliefd op de kleuren en de uitstraling ervan. Soms heb ik dat.......ik bedoel verliefd worden op een creatie van jezelf , herken je daar iets in of ben ik de enige haha......
Op de achtergrond( acrylblok techniek) heb ik de  Dusky Damask sheet gebruikt en toen het droog was heb ik een prachtig kruis van de  'With Sympathy' sheet gebruikt. Ik heb het wel eens eerder verteld maar ik voel me altijd aangetrokken tot mooie kruis ontwerpen.
De kleuren die ik heb gebruikt zijn Memento Paris Dusk/Gray Flannel/London Fog. De London Fog geeft net dat 'taupe'achtige effect.....Ik heb hier ook weer de nieuwe border no.21 van Crealies gebruikt en wat parelaccenten gegeven. De tekst is van hetzelfde 'with Sympathy'sheet.
Hier is ie dan........op de een of andere manier herinneren de kleuren me ergens aan, maar ik weet niet wat.....

Again some Chocolate Baroque together with Impression Obsession

A long time ago I've made these two cards and realised that I did not showed them yet....so here they are......
The first one has been made with the Swirl Lace cover a card background from Impression Obsession, such great backgrounds! I've embossed it with white on black paper. The gorgeous flowers are from the Bold/Fresh Blooms from Chocolate Baroque, no need to say again these are one of my favorite flowers! Embossed with silver EP and coloured with waterbased markers.

Hallo op deze zonnige zondag,

Lang geleden maakte ik deze twee kaarten en bedacht dat ik ze nog niet had laten zien....dus hier zijn ze....
De eerste is gemaakt met de Swirl Lace cover a card achtergrond van Impression Obsession, zulke geweldige achtergronden! Ik heb geembosst met wit op zwart papier. De prachtige bloemen zijn de Bold/Fresh Blooms van Chocolate Baroque en hoef niet meer te vermelden dat ze een van mijn favorieten zijn! Geembosst met zilver en gekleurd met stiften op waterbasis.

The 2nd one is stamped with white on black with the Damask background from IO and coloured with my Derwents......the leaves are embossed with silver and coloured with the markers, the flower is also stamped with white on black and coloured with the pencils.

De twee is gestempeld met witte inkt op zwart papier en gekleurd met Derwent kleurpotloden....de bladeren zijn geembosst met zilver en weer gekleurd met de stiften, de bloem is ook gestempeld met wit op zwart en gekleurd met de potloden.

Colourful Chocolate Baroque Creations.........

Creating with colour, inks,water and lovely Chocolate Baroque stamps , .........all together.......a perfect combination to play! The stamps I've used on the first one are from the gorgeous Dusky Damask sheet from CB. The text is from the Artistic Expressions sheet. I've made a background using Memento inks on an acrylic bloc, misting with water and stamping on watercolour paper. I stamped some parts of the Dusky damask background in it and over stamped later with white ink.The main image is a lovely stylish flower and embossed with two tones of WOW sparkle emboss.powder. Also used a Cheery Lynn die which I thought it would match.

Creeren met kleur,inkten, water en prachtige Chocolate Baroque stempels, ...alles bij elkaar....een perfecte combinatie om te spelen! De stempels die ik gebruikt heb zijn van de prachtige Dusky Damask sheet van CB. De tekst is van de Artistic Expressions sheet. Ik heb een achtergrond gemaakt van Memento inkten, een acrylblok en een mini mister op aquarelpapier. Ik heb gedeelten van de  Dusky Damask achtergrond stempel erin gezet en later met witte inkt nog een keer. De centrale afbeelding is een mooie gestileerde bloem en geembosst met twee tinten WOW sparkle emboss. poeder. Ook heb ik een Cheery Lynn mal gebruikt die ik er wel mooi bij vond.

The 2nd card is also made with a same background technique. Here I've used the Damask fragment stamp, a real favorite! These flowers are great for people who like to colour......I've coloured them with my Derwent Color soft pencils. At the moment the Faber Castell Polychromos are very 'hot' here but I am not convinced they will perform better, I will test them soon..... The corner dies are also Cheery Lynn. The quote is also from the Pretty Poppies sheet as also these flowers.

De tweede kaart is ook met dezelfde achtergrond techniek gemaakt. Hier heb ik het Damask fragment stempel gebruikt, echt een favoriet! Deze bloemen zijn heerlijk om in te kleuren......Ik heb ze gekleurd met Derwent Soft Colour. Momenteel zijn de Faber Castell Polychromos  'hot' hier, maar ik ben nog niet overtuigd dat ze fijner kleuren.......ga het binnenkort eens testen!

And the last card for now is a colour combination which I don't often use.....especially not this green shade...I use more the yellowish green shades like olive..
but sometimes you have to experiment outside your own 'colourbox'... The corner dies are again Cheery Lynn. I've used also Memento inks. It's interesting to see the same stamp with a different technique and colour on the card beneath.....

En de laatste kaart voor nu is een kleur combinatie die ik niet vaak gebruik....zeker deze groen tint niet, ben meer van de geelgroenen, olijf.....maar soms moet je gewoon experimenteren buiten je eigen 'kleuren palet'.. De hoekjes zijn weer van Cheery Lynn. Ik heb hier ook de Memento inkten gebruikt. Het is leuk om te zien hoe een andere techniek en kleur dezelfde stempel heel ander laat uitkomen....hieronder

Al deze materialen en stempels zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam waar ook de voorbeelden te zien zijn.

Chocolate Baroque and Crealies.........

Today two cards with Chocolate Baroque stamps in combination with some new products of Crealies.
On the first card I worked with the Poppies and the Summer Distress colours. I've used one of the new border dies, no. 21 behind the image. A beautiful classic shape.
So here it is........ on the background I've used one of my favorite background stamps from one of the new CB sheets; Dusky Damask, you can also get it in a multi-buy with those gorgeous poppies!

Vandaag twee kaarten met Chocolate Baroque stempels in combinatie met enkele van de nieuwe Crealies producten. Op de eerste kaart heb ik gewerkt met de Poppies en de zomer Distress inkten. Ik heb hierbij de nieuwe border stans no.21 gebruikt. Een prachtig klassiek motief.
Dus hier is ie dan.....op de achtergrond heb ik een van mijn favouriete achtergrond stempels gebruikt van een van de nieuwe sheets;  Dusky Damask, je kunt deze ook krijgen in een multi set met de mooie klaprozen!

My second card is made on black paper using white ink to stamp and coloured with my Derwent pencils, always love that technique! The background of the main image has been made with the Spring distress inks.
Here I've used some of the new flowers and shape dies from Crealies; Creative flowers no.24 and 26 and Creative shape no.22. The shape of that leaf is almost the same as the leaf of the stamp....... The image is from the Pretty poppies sheet and on the background I've used butterflies from the 'Doodle butterflies' sheet of Chocolate Baroque. Also used some gold embossed leaves from the Sunny flowers sheet......

Mijn tweede kaart is gemaakt op zwart papier met gebruik van witte inkt en gekleurd met m'n Derwents, vind het altijd heerlijk deze techniek! de achtergrond van de hoofd afbeedling is gemaakt met de lente distress inkten. Hier heb ik ook enkele van de nieuwe bloemen en shapes van Crealies gebruikt; Creative flowers no.24 and 26  en Creative shape no.22. De vorm van dat blad is bijna hetzelfde als het blad van de stempel.....de stempel is van de Pretty Poppies sheet en op de achtergrond heb ik vlinders gebruikt van de 'Doodle Butterflies' sheet van Chocolate Baroque. ook nog wat goud geembosste blaadjes van de Sunny flowers sheet.......

More Sunny Flowers......and the beginning of an Art Journal.....

Here are some more Chocolate Baroque creations, hope you enjoy them! More....... Sunny Flowers!
The first card was in my stash for quiet a while.....on the background an image from the Woodland Dreams sheet embossed with gold on a distressed coloured background. You can also see the use of a Crafters template in there, branches....... I coloured the Sunny flowers in matching colours with Tombo markers.

Nog wat meer Chocolate Baroque creaties, hoop dat je er van geniet! Nog meer....zonnebloemen, Sunny Flowers van CB! De eerste kaart had ik al een tijdje onafgemaakt liggen in mijn voorraad......op de achtergrond een stempel van de Woodland Dreams sheet geembosst met goud op een achtergrond van Distress inkt. Hier kun je ook nog het gebruik van een Crafters too masker zien, de takken.....Ik heb de zonnebloemen in bijpassende kleuren gekleurd met Tombo markers.

The 2nd card was stamped with black ink on the background and some gold embossed sunny flowers and leaves decoupaged in front. This one in more traditional Sunflower colours........

De tweede kaart is gestempeld met zwart op de achtergrond en goud geembosste zonnebloemen en bladeren uitgesneden op de voorgrond. Deze in meer traditionele zonnebloem kleuren.......

And yes I did start an Art Journal, my first one....I did have the materials for quiet a while but did not have the drive to start with it....so I when I was crafting with some friends I had a go......thanks for a great day Miranda( my namesake)
here are the first 3 pages.......also made with those lovely Sunny flowers! I've used Dylusion Inks and Acrylic paint, Gold finger, Crafters too templates........and some modeling paste(great stuff)I've bought a lovely book at a local paint and art supplies store......it's a harmonica book so I can show all the pages in one and can also use the backside.

En ja ik ben begonnen met een Art Journal, mijn eerste......ik had de materialen al een tijdje in huis maar had maar niet de drive om te starten......dus op een gezamenlijke stempeldag met vriendinnen ben ik er mee begonnen......nog bedankt voor een leuke dag Miranda!(mijn naamgenoot)
hier zijn de eerste 3 pagina's.........ook weer met de mooie Sunny Flowers! Ik heb gebruikt: Dylusion inkten, Acryl verf, Gold finger, Crafters too maskers.....en nog wat molding paste oftewel structuur pasta( leuk spul)Ik heb bij de plaatselijke schilder en teken benodigheden winkel een prachtig boekje gekocht.......het is een harmonica model dus je kunt in een keer alle pagina's zien. Ook de achterzijde is te gebruiken, dus letter en figuurlijk veelzijdig!

Here they are one at the time........I would like to add some hand writing but the pages are already very filled...so I did only use some text stamps of Chocolate Baroque, the Artistic Expressions and Artistic Affirmations are also very useful for Art Journaling!

Hier zijn ze een voor een.......ik had eigenlijk ook wat willen schrijven erin maar de pagina's zijn al erg gevuld....dus heb ik alleen de tekst stempels van Chocolate Baroque gebruikt, the Artistic Expressions en Artistic Affirmations , die zijn perfect voor Art-Journaling!

More Chocolate 'delights'......meer Chocolate 'heerlijkheden'

Today some more creations with the beautiful stamps of Chocolate Baroque.........Despite my 'time-out' I was able to play(thanks for that Glenda) with them during the holidays and here are the results! I am still a bit on a break but slowly starting up my engine to pick things up again........it's all still very uncertain in my life at the moment, but then again....life is giving no guaranties at all and creating is something I can't live without!
I've made these ones again using the Distress Seasonal 'Spring' colours. They really give that springtime feeling, which I like far more than these hot summer days!

Vandaag meer creaties met de prachtige Chocolate Baroque stempels......... Ondanks mijn 'time-out' was ik in de gelegenheid om te spelen(bedankt Glenda) tijdens de vakantiedagen en hier zijn de resultaten! ik heb nog steeds een kleine 'time-out' maar begin weer langzaam op te starten en dingen op te pakken......het is allemaal nog erg onzeker in mijn leven.....maar ja.. leven geeft zo ie zo geen garanties encreeeren is iets waar ik niet zonder kan! Ik heb deze weer gemaakt met de Distress seizoens inkten 'Lente'. Ze geven echt dat 'lentegevoel'vind ik, wat ik dan ook veel fijner vindt dan deze broeierige hete zomerdagen!

And I've made a lot of those leaves, so I did use the left overs for another card .I've used an emboss.folder which I inked. Also used the poppy Memorybox die, they are so fragile and lovely! I've added a 'fluffy' flower made of nestabilities and cut it out of tissuepaper. You can see here a video tutorial of it, not by me but by Kitty Franken. She also has some other video tutorials on her blog.

Ik had een heleboel van deze blaadjes gemaakt, dus ik heb de restanten gebruikt voor nog een kaart. Hierbij een emboss.mal gebruikt en deze beinkt.Ook heb ik de Poppy Memorybox mal gebruikt, ze zijn zo fragiel en lieflijk! Ik heb een 'fluffy' bloem gemaakt met Nestabilities en gesneden uit tissue papier. Je kunt hier de videotutorial zien, niet door mij maar door Kitty Franken. Zij heeft ook nog andere videofilmpjes op haar blog staan.
De Memorybox mallen koop ik bij 't Hobbyschuurke in Ridderkerk of bij Doe@Ding in Spijkenisse.

Sunny flowers from Chocolate Baroque.......Zonnige bloemen van Chocolate Baroque

Here is my first creation with the 'Sunny flowers' sheet of Chocolate Baroque. Those flowers and leaves are really smashing , aren't they?

Hier is mijn eerste creatie met de 'Sunny flowers' sheet van Chocolate Baroque. Deze bloemen en blaadjes zijn prachtig, nietwaar?

Sunny Flowers Chocolate Baroque

I've used the Tim Holtz doily die and embossed the flowers with WOW brass emboss.powder and coloured with  the Tombo markers. I've made an inlay with Basic Grey paper and stamped it with the sunny flowers with masking and coloured with the Derwent pencils, still my favorite colour pencil. I have some other brands like Polychromos and Prisma Colours and Bruijnzeel but still keep reaching out for my Derwent Soft colours next to the former Karisma's because I think they are softer, richer......and better with blending and creating layers
here from some different angles.....

Ik heb de Tim Holtz doily snijmal gebruikt en de bloemen geembosst met WOW brass emoss. poeder en gekleurd met de Tombo's. Ik heb de binnenkant  gemaakt van Basic Grey papier en bestempeld met de zonnebloemen en maskertechniek. Hierna zijn ze gekleurd met de Derwent Soft Colours, nog steeds mijn favouriete potlood......Ik heb wat andere merken erbij zoals Polychromos, Prisma colours, Bruijnzeel maar vind nog steed het Derwent net zoals de voormalige Karisma het mooiste pigment en zachtheid hebben.
