Time-out............

Hello dear people,

I wanted to let you know that I am taking a TIME-OUT...........having a break or sabbatical whatever you want to name it........I will be back...but don't know when.......Need some time to do what I have to do to regain balance and getting structure into chaos.

It's something I must do because else  I can't create anymore with pleasure and that is one of the most important things, doing things with pleasure..........and certainly the creative process.

Hallo lieve mensen,

Ik wil jullie vertellen dat ik een TIME-OUT ga nemen...........een pauze of sabbatical of hoe je het dan ook kunt noemen.......ik kom weer terug.....maar weet niet wanneer. Heb de tijd nodig om te doen wat ik moet doen om de balans voor mezelf te herstellen en om structuur in chaos te brengen.

Het is iets dat ik moet doen anders kan ik niet meer creëren met plezier en dat vind ik een van de belangrijkste dingen, met plezier iets doen en zeker het creatieve proces.

En hier een kaart die zeker mijn behoefte van deze periode laat zien.......allemaal Magenta stempels.....

Creating beautiful things and make the world a bit more beautiful is the thing I love to do most..........but I've neglected a lot of things the last years.......my body, my house, connecting with friends and things are starting to pile up now, become chaos....and one of the things I can't live in is CHAOS.........

There was a time that I was moving and dancing a lot.......and during that time I was also dancing the 5 rhythms of Gabrielle Roth.  I red the book of Gabrielle Roth, which is very interesting and inspiring. And as I WAS a ' mover' it appealed very much to me.

5 Rhythms is a dynamic movement practice- a practice of being in your body- it ignites creativity, connection and community.

Each rhythm - Flowing, Staccato,Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness- is interpretated by individuals in a uniquely personal way, opening them to a new sense of freedom and possibility that is both surprising and healing. (quote Gabrielle Roth)

Why I come up with this item, well because of CHAOS, I can remember that was the part of the dance I really did not like.....in fact I hated it.......well apparently for a reason....

Mooie dingen maken  en de wereld wat mooier maken is hetgeen ik het allerliefste doe, maar daardoor heb ik ook andere dingen verwaarloosd de laatste jaren....mijn lichaam,mijn huis, verbinden met andere mensen en dingen beginnen zich op te stapelen, letterlijk en figuurlijk. Het wordt CHAOS en ik kan niet leven in chaos, ik heb het geprobeerd......

Er was een tijd dat ik goed zorgde voor mezelf, veel in beweging was en daar behoorde zeker dansen toe....en gedurende die periode danste ik ook de 5 ritmes van Gabrielle Roth, hetgeen inspirerend en helend was. Ik las ook het boek van Gabrielle Roth dat zeer interessant en inspirerend was.  En omdat ik een ' beweger' ben sprak me het erg aan.

De 5 ritmes is een dynamische bewegings oefening- een oefening om aanwezig te zijn in je lichaam- het stimuleert creativiteit, verbinding en ' broederschap'.

Elk ritme- Vloeiend-Staccato-Chaos- Liefelijk- Stilte- wordt geïnterpreteerd door individuen op een unieke persoonlijke manier, het opent een nieuw gevoel van vrijheid dat zowel verrassend als helend is.(quote Gabrielle Roth)

And now it's time that I face the CHAOS and bring structure in it, declutter, clean and look where I want to be on my path in life..........

I feel the need to be in a peaceful, quiet environment and just want to run away....but I know that is not the solution(maybe for a while).......wherever you go you'll be always taking yourself with you.......

Maybe you are thinking why she is writing this all, giving a look inside ........well I just need to, wanting to share some of my inner thoughts ,writing is a healer too and I know that the people who are on the same vibe, will understand.....and others....well.... just have to know that I am taking a time-out. Just pick out the things you want .....

En nu is de tijd dat ik de confrontatie aanga met CHAOS en er structuur in aanbreng, grote schoonmaak hou en kijk waar ik wil zijn op mijn weg in het leven......

Ik heb sterk de behoefte om in een rustige vredige omgeving te zijn en zou weg willen rennen......maar ik weet dat dat niet de oplossing is(misschien voor even) want waar je ook gaat....jezelf neem je altijd mee....

Misschien denk je.....waarom schrijft ze dit allemaal.......een kijkje van binnen.......ik moet het gewoon doen...even mijn diepste gedachten en gevoelens delen, schrijven heelt namelijk ook en maakt dingen inzichtelijk en ik weet dat de mensen die op dezelfde ' vibratie'  zitten het zullen lezen en begrijpen en voor de anderen is het voldoende om te weten dat ik een time-out neem.......

En de volgende kaart is gemaakt met de mooie pluimen van Magenta en een tekst van Impression Obsession die zo waar is......

Well, can't promise when I will be back........but when I have some creative playtime or mind scribbles I will share them with you if I can,

Zo, een heel verhaal mmm, ik kan niet zeggen wanneer ik terug ben.......maar wanneer ik wat creatieve speeltijd of overpeinzingen heb, zal ik ze delen als ik kan,

So many African Daisy's .........

Hi there,

Today 3 creations made with the African Daisy of designs by Ryn. They are all tree totally different......come and see...... The first one is made in cool icy colors and of course I've played again with the Viva Decor Kristal gel, great stuff! I've applied it with a palet knife over a mask. Just let it dry and the effect is great and sparkly. You can see the effect beneath in the close-up. There are lots of mica pieces in it which gives the sparkly effect. I've combined the flowers with the Ornate leaves set, embossed all with silver and coloured with water based markers. For the center of the flower I've used some circles of the Circle cluster set.

Vandaag 3 creaties met de African Daisy van designs by Ryn. Ze zijn alle drie totaal verschillend......kom kijken...... De eerste is gemaakt met koele ijzige kleuren en weer eens gespeeld met de Viva Decor Kristal gel, geweldig spul! Ik heb het met een paletmes over een stencil gebruikt. Laten drogen en het effect is gaaf en sprankelend. Je kunt het wat beter in de close-up zien. Er zitten mica stukjes in die het mooie effect geven. Ik heb de bloemen gecombineerd met de Ornate leaves set, geembosst met zilver en gekleurd met markers. Voor het hart van de bloemen heb ik wat cirkels van de Circle cluster set gebruikt.

Now on to the next one........made with some warmer shades and I think it looks a bit underwater......see the flowers as Anemones.....I've used one of my favorite stencils at the moment and also did a bit of gold embossing with it. The African daisies and the Three leaves set are gold embossed and coloured with markers. The word is from the Artistic Expressions from Chocolate Baroque. A favorite sheet to go with everything!

Nu naar de volgende......gemaakt met warmere tinten en ik vind het een beetje ' onderwater sfeer'  hebben......de bloemen zijn dan maar anemonen he? Ik heb een van m'n favoriete stencils gebruikt en hiermee ook nog wat geembosste effecten gemaakt. De bloemen en de Three leaves set zijn met goud geembosst en gekleurd met markers. Het woord is van de Artistic Expressions van Chocolate Baroque. Een favoriet sheet bij alles!

and the last one in even more warmer shades..........African daisies on wood.....I've used a wood structure embossing folder on black paper and rubbed some Inca gold wax over it. The text is from the Mackintosh sentiments from CB.

En de laatste in nog warmere kleuren.......African daisies op hout.......Ik heb hier een hout structuur embossingfolder gebruikt en hierna met Inca Gold wax bewerkt. De tekst is van de Mackintosh sentiments van CB.

Connected from the heart.........designs by Ryn

Today two cards with the lovely Vine heart from designs by Ryn. I've made a very dark card and also a white card........there are always two sides on everything isn't there? Dark and Light, Love and fear and so on.....the duality in life.

On the first one I've just embossed the heart with the black sparkle embossing powder from the last post and coloured with markers. The circle die cut is one from Memory Box. They come in different sizes and as I love circles they are a great add to your die collection! The text is from the Chocolate Baroque Artistic Expressions and a quote to my heart.......I must listen more often to these whispers......although....I listen.....and I hear but what do I do with it?

Hallo daar,

Vandaag twee kaarten met de mooie Vine heart stempel van designs by Ryn. Ik heb een hele donkere en ook een witte kaart gemaakt.......er zijn altijd twee kanten aan alles, nietwaar? Donker en Licht, Liefde en Angst en ga zo maar door....de dualiteit van het leven.

Op de eerste heb ik het hart geembosst met de  zwarte sparkle embossing van de vorige kaarten en gekleurd met markers. De cirkel snijmal is er een van Memorybox. Ze zijn er in diverse maten en aangezien ik van cirkels hou zijn ze een mooie aanvulling voor de snijmallen collectie! De tekst is van Chocolate Baroque Artistic Expressions en een tekst naar mijn hart........ik zou ook vaker moeten luisteren naar deze ' whispers' ........hoewel.....ik luister wel en hoor ze......maar wat doe ik ermee?

And the 2nd one......darker.........but I added the gold as a light........and a connection.......

En de tweede...... donkerder......maar het goud toegevoegd als licht......en verbinding

This background was made using a stencil from Judi Kins and I've outlined the wavy lines with a black liner and gave more color within.....lots of layers here and some accents with color pencils....the hearts are embossed with gold and coloured with markers. The gold leafy branch is a die cut from Cheery Lynn.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met een stencil van Judi Kins en ik heb de golvende lijnen geaccentueerd met een zwarte fijnliner en kleur gegeven binnen de lijnen......veel lagen hier en wat accenten met kleurpotlood. De harten zijn geembosst met goud en gekleurd met markers. Het gouden takje is een snijmal van Cheery Lynn.

Er is altijd licht te vinden in de duisternis.....kijk.........en vertrouw........

I've enjoyed working with the hearts and I realized once more that there is so much more to find in art and color than just creating and having fun..........

Ik vond het heerlijk om te werken met het hart en realiseerde me weer eens dat er zoveel meer te vinden is in kunst en kleur dan alleen maar creëren en spelen.........

Vibrant creations made with the stamp designs of Ryn....

It's been a while since I had a play with the lovely designs of Ryn, time and life is getting in the way sometimes......

But I had several creations made and now I had some time to finish them, so here they are.......

I've used the lovely Kelp stamp, the African Daisy flower and some decoupaged circles of the Circle cluster set on the first one.I' ve added also a couple of leaves of the the Ornate leaves set. I stamped on black craft paper with white ink and some black stamping on the pink paper. Did some embossing with a lovely black sparkling embossing powder and coloured with water based markers.

Het is weer een tijdje geleden dat ik gespeeld heb met de mooie  designs of Ryn, soms staat tijd en de hectiek van het leven in de weg......

Maar ik had al het een en ander gemaakt en nu even de tijd om het af te maken, dus hier zijn ze......

Ik heb bij de mooie Kelp stempel, de  African Daisy bloem en wat uitgeknipte cirkels van de Circle cluster set  op de eerste kaart gebruikt. Ik heb het geheel met wat blaadjes van de Ornate leaves set aangevuld. Gestempeld op zwart kraft papier met witte inkt en met zwart op het roze papier. Nog wat embossing met een hele mooie zwarte glinsterende embossing poeder en gekleurd met de Tombo markers.

On the 2nd one I've used the Circle Cluster set stamped with white on black and added some silver hot fix stones. I just decorated with some of the circles and the Ornate leaves.

Op de tweede heb ik hoofdzakelijk de Circle cluster set gebruikt en gestempeld met wit op zwart en wat zilveren hotfix steentjes geplakt. Ik heb hier gewoon wat versierd met de uitgeknipte cirkels en wat van de Ornate leaves blaadjes.

the sparkle has a great dimensional effect when you look at a certain angle......

de glinstering heeft een mooi dimensionaal effect wanneer je vanuit een bepaalde hoek kijkt......

Chocolate Baroque meets Impression in masculine cards........

Today some cards with a mix of Chocolate Baroque and Impression Obsession stamps, both great designs and perfect together! I've made some masculine cards here......

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag wat kaarten met een mix van Chocolate Baroque en Impression Obsession stempels, beide gave designs en perfect bij elkaar! Ik heb wat mannelijke kaarten gemaakt hier.......wil je de kaarten live zien.......breng dan een bezoekje aan de Posthumuswinkel. Daar kun je ook de gebruikte stempels vinden. Ook komen er weer diverse workshops aan, voor meer info kun je Posthumus bellen. Of meld je aan voor de nieuwsbrief op de website.

I've used several IO cover a card background stamps here; Watches &keys, Feathers & watches, Bricks and Grunge. From CB I' ve used Steampunk butterfly and Punky Romance and on the card beneath also the Eccentric Edwardian , a great masculine sheet.

I like the combination of all these stamps! I've embossed with Platinum and coloured with waterbased markers.

Ik heb hier diverse cover a card achtergronden van IO gebruikt; watches&keys, Feathers &watches, Bricks en Grunge. Van CB heb ik gebruikt; Steampunk butterfly en Punky Romance en op de kaart hieronder de Eccentric Edwardian , een gaaf mannelijk sheet.

Ik vind het leuk om deze sheets van beide merken te combineren! Ik heb de bovenstaande kaart geembosst met Platinum en gekleurd met Tombo markers(waterbasis)

En de volgende......je kunt hier de mooie sleutels zien van de  ' Key to my dreams sheet' van CB. Het slot is ook van dezelfde sheet. Op de achtergrond de cover a card's van IO: Chickenwire, Cogs, Bricks Watches en keys, Grunge en een scriptstempel

And the last one made with the lovely steampunk roses from the Steampunk butterfly sheet from CB, the wheel ornament (corners) is also from the same sheet. On the background CaC's IO: Bricks, Grunge. Ink Spatters, frame and text are also from IO.

En de laatste gemaakt met de leuke steampunk rozen van de Steampunk butterfly sheet van CB, het wiel ornament(hoeken) is hier ook van. Op de achtergrond de cover a card's van IO;  Bricks, Grunge en de inktspatters, frame en tekst zijn ook van IO.

Er zijn weer diverse nieuwe cover a cards en een uitgebreide houten stempel collectie van IO bij Posthumus, ook Magenta is weer in het assortiment opgenomen,  dus breng eens een bezoekje aan deze mooie ' snoepjes'  winkel!

Elegant edges from Chocolate Baroque

I've made 3 cards using the lovely Elegant Edges from Chocolate Baroque combined with some other sheets. The first one is made using the Gingko leaf border and the separate stamp of the Gingko leaf. I kept this one in green with gold shades. With all tree cards I' ve used my favorite technique with the acrylic bloc and Distress inks. Did some partial gold embossing and some white embossing on the little rectangle. I've used the text from the Elegant Crocus sheet. I've embossed the little gingko leaf with gold and decoupaged it.

Hallo allemaal,

ik heb hier 3 kaarten gemaakt met de mooie Elegant Edges from Chocolate Baroque gecombineerd met wat andere sheets van CB. De eerste is gemaakt met de Gingko border en de aparte stempel van het gingko blad. Ik heb deze kaart in groen en goud tinten gehouden. Bij alle drie kaarten heb ik mijn favoriete techniek met het acrylblok en distress inkt gebruikt. Gedeeltelijk wat embossing met goud en wat witte embossing op het kleinere kaartje. Ik heb de tekst gebruikt van de Elegant Crocus sheet. Ik heb het kleine blad geembosst met goud en uitgeknipt.

The second one has been done with the honeysuckle border and the main image is from the  Fragrant Honeysuckle sheet from CB. Coloured with waterbased markers in matching colours. I've embossed the card partially with an embossingfolder and added some Inca Gold wax over it. The text is from the Loving sentiments.

De tweede is gemaakt met de honeysuckle border en de grote bloem is van de Fragrant Honeysuckle sheet van CB. Gekleurd met markers op waterbasis in bijpassende kleuren. Ik heb de kaart gedeeltelijk geembosst met een embossingmal en wat Inca gold wax aangebracht. De tekst is van de 

Loving sentiments.

And finally the third one with an unusual colourscheme for me......using the Primula edge and some stamp images from the Elegant Spring flowers. A lot of decoupaging and the text is from the Fairyland words. I've used waterbased n

markers and colour pencils to colour the images.

En tot slotte de derde met een nogal ongewoon kleurschema voor mij......hier de Primula border en wat stempels van de  Elegant Spring flowers. Nogal wat uitgeknipt en de tekst erbij van de Fairyland words. Ik heb hier ook kleurpotloden gebruikt.

And finally I had some left overs of the cardstock and stamped images so I have made some smaller cards with it.

En tot slot had ik nog wat rest materiaal en gestempelde restjes over, dus nog wat kleinere kaartje gemaakt.

Patchwork trees and butterflies......

I've been playing again with the new gorgeous stamps from Chocolate Baroque. The 'Patchwork Landscapes' are so much fun to colour and also to add your own 'patchwork' in every way you can imagine.......

I have made this one using the pillow top background.......I thought it would be a good match with these stamps.......I've stamped with black and coloured with the Distress markers. Scored the squares and sponged the areas in between by masking........You can find the technique here.
You can find the large butterfly on the 'Tangled Garden sheet' and the smaller version is a clear stamp.The wings are partially accentuated with the clear Wink of Stella pen but you can't see the lovely shine here.

Ik heb weer lekker gespeeld met de nieuwe gave stempels van Chocolate Baroque. De 'Patchwork landscapes' zijn zo leuk om te kleuren en ook om je eigen 'patchwork' toe te voegen op elke manier die je kunt bedenken.......

Ik heb deze achtergrond gemaakt met de pillow top achtergrond........Ik dacht dat het mooi zou passen bij deze stempels......Ik heb gestempeld met zwart en gekleurd met Distress markers. De lijnen zijn gerild( op de scorpal) en de vakjes gesponst door af te dekken........
Hier is de link naar de techniek.
De grote vlinder is van de 'Tangled Garden sheet van CB' en de kleine is een clear stempel van CB. De vleugels zijn gedeeltelijk geaccentueerd met de clear Wink of Stella marker. Helaas kun je op de foto de mooie glitter niet zien. Het zijn mooie markers met een kwastje verkrijgbaar in diverse kleuren en geven een mooi subtiel glittereffect. De markers zijn hier verkrijgbaar.

Rainbows in a Patchwork landscape.....

Hello there,

I've been playing with the Patchwork landscapes and I wanted to play with some bright colours.......a touch of Spring..... I had this gesso background  already waiting in my stash and I've use the acrylic bloc technique and Distress inks. The flower is an image from the Tangled garden sheet which matches perfect with these stamps.The trees and flower are coloured with the matching Distress markers. And of course for the finishing touch I've used a white acrylic marker and some fine holographic glitter.

Eerst wil ik even nog wat anders zeggen......ik hoop jullie te zien op het Art Specially event komend weekend in Nijkerk! Natuurlijk herken ik niet iedereen vanuit de blogwereld, dus ik zou het zeker leuk vinden als je even langskomt (en zegt wie je bent haha).........Je kunt me vinden bij de Posthumuswinkel stand.( Ik lijk niet echt meer op de foto....maar ben het wel hoor)

Ik heb gespeeld met de Patchwork landscapes en deze keer met heldere kleuren.......een beetje lente........Ik had deze gesso achtergrond al een tijdje in de voorraad en heb er de acrylblok techniek op losgelaten met Distress inkten. De bloem is weer van de Tangled garden set die perfect past bij deze stempels. De bomen en bloem zijn gekleurd met dezelfde kleuren Distress markers. En natuurlijk als finishing touch heb ik een witte acrylmarker gebruikt en wat fijne holografische glitter.

And with the 2nd one I've used all the rainbow colours. This time I've played with (my neglected) Distress stains. I've misted my paper with some water and let the inks just flow......I've added here the tangled leaves from the Tangled garden sheet and masked them. On the left panel I've used a stencil and added some Memorybox die cuts.

En bij de tweede heb ik alle regenboogkleuren gebruikt. Deze keer gespeeld met (mijn verwaarloosde) Distress stains. Ik heb het papier wat nat gemaakt en de inkten laten vloeien. Ik heb hier de bladeren van de Tangled garden set gebruikt en gemaskerd. Op het linker paneel heb ik een Memorybox stencil gebruikt en nog wat Memorybox bloemen.

Well, I hope that I have inspired you and gave your day a colour boost! Sometimes we can use that......
