More flowers from IO......meer bloemen van IO

Hello there,


Two more creations with the designs of Aislinn Adams at IO. The 1st one is a very less is more card but the image does not need more I think........it's a single Dogwood embossed with WOW brass EP and coloured with waterbased markers. The text is also IO.

Nog twee creaties met de ontwerpen van Aislinn Adams van IO. De eerste is een ' meer is minder' kaart maar de afbeelding heeft niet veel meer nodig denk ik........het is een enkele Dogwood/Kornoelje geembosst met WOW brass EP en gekleurd met de Tombo markers. De tekst is ook van IO en verkrijgbaar bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

The 2nd card is also the same Dogwood design......... stamped onto Kraft paper and coloured with the Derwent pencils. The background is stamped with another Dogwood design and I've used Memento inks.


De tweede kaart is ook gemaakt met dezelfde Dogwood....gestempeld op kraft papier en gekleurd met de Derwent potloden. De achtergrond is gestempeld met een andere Dogwood stempel en hier heb ik de Memento inkten gebruikt.

Flowers and more flowers.......bloemen en nog eens bloemen......

Today some creations which I've made for the event in Zeist. Made with the beautiful designs of Aislinn Adams for Impression Obsession. She draws such beautiful flower designs.....come and have a look......
Here is the 1st one which also joins the Impression Obsession  'dies challenge'. Although I am sorry to say that I haven't got a die from IO yet......but I have enough IO stamps to make that right. I've used a X-cut die  and a Nestabilitie die called deckled rectangle for the sentiment. I've used the beautiful Rhododendron (G12008) . I stamped the background with plain black and after that I've coloured ly with my Tombo markers directly on the rubber stamp. With use of a waterpencil I coloured the flower and add some extra colours. This is such a lovely aquarel technique. You don't have to be an artist but just follow the lines and shadow which are already there........The sentiment is also an IO stamp (C8761)

Vandaag wat creaties die ik gemaakt had voor het event in Zeist. Gemaakt met de mooie ontwerpen van Aislinn Adams voor Obsession Impression. Ze tekent zulke mooie bloem ontwerpen.....kom en neem een kijkje........ Hier is de eerste die ook meedoet met de Impression Obsession  'dies challenge'. Hoewel ik het jammer vind dat ik nog geen snijmallen heb van IO.......ik heb genoeg stempels om het goed te maken. Ik heb de X-cut mal gebruikt en een Nestabilitie , de deckled rectangle voor de tekst. Ik heb de mooie Rhododendron (G12008) gebruikt .
De achtergrond is gewoon met zwart gestempeld en daarna  gekleurd met Tombo's direct op de rubber stempel voor de gekleurde afbeelding in het midden. Met gebruik van de waterpenseel de bloem verder uitgewerkt en nog wat extra kleuren toegevoegd. Dit is z'on heerlijke aquareltechniek. Je hoeft echt geen kunstenaar te zijn maar volg gewoon de lijnen en schaduwen van de stempel, die staan er namelijk al.....De tekst is ook een IO stempel(C8761)

The 2nd one....the Crab Apple.....

                                                                         

The 2nd card is made with the lovely 'Crab Apple'(H12009) which I have stamped on Kraft paper. Also one of my favorite colouring techniques. On the background you can see the same image but embossed with WOW platinum embossing powder. Also used a Nestability die for the main image. This time coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, still my favorites.......

De tweede kaart is gemaakt met de lieflijke 'Crab Apple' oftwel appelbloesem(H12009) welke ik op Kraft papier heb gestempeld. Ook een van mijn favoriete kleurtechnieken. Op de achtergrond kun je dezelfde afbeelding zien maar dan geembosst met WOW platinum emboss.poeder. Ook hier weer een Nestability gebruikt. Deze keer gekleurd met de Derwent Coloursoft potloden. Nog steeds mijn favorieten......

Some Chocolate Baroque creations.......

Today I want to share some Chocolate Baroque creations which I've been making for the previous event in april. Some are in combination with the Impression Obsession stamps and some are 'pure'Chocolate! The first one has a little something of the IO kaleidoscoop cover a card background and further some lovely flowers of Chocolate Baroque. The main image is from the Bold blooms/Fresh blooms,still one of my fav's and the background flowers are from the Fantastic Florals sheet. The sentiment is an IO one.

Vandaag wil ik wat CB creaties met jullie delen die ik gemaakt heb voor het event in april. Sommigen in combinatie met IO stempels en sommigen 'pure'chocolate! Deze eerste heeft een subtiele achtergrond waarin je de cover a card achtergrond 'Kaleidoscoop' kunt zien en de prachtige bloemen van Chocolate Baroque. De grote bloem en blad zijn van de Bold blooms/Fresh blooms, nog steeds een van mijn favourieten en de achtergrond bloemen zijn van de 'Fantastic Florals' sheet. De tekst is een IO stempel.

The 2nd card has been made using the lovely 'Water lily mandala 'from Chocolate Baroque. On the background you can see some of the textures of the Texture Fragments from CB/ The swirl is from Hero arts. Again used the acryl bloc technique on the background and the flowers are coloured using Tombo markers.


De tweede kaart is gemaakt met de mooie 'Waterlily mandala'van Chocolate Baroque. Op de achtergrond kun je nog wat van de textuur zien van de 'Texture Fragments' van CB. De swirl is van Hero arts. Ook weer de acryl blok techniek op de achtergrond en de bloemen zijn gekleurd met Tombo markers.

The 3rd card is made only with CB stamps, the main image from the 'Butterfly dreams'sheet and the sentiment too. Also a gorgeous sheet, but which isn't it...LOL The background is made with the acrylic bloc technique using Memento ink colours. The swirl is a Memory box die.
De derde kaart is gemaakt alleen met CB stempels, de afbeelding is van de 'Butterfly dreams' sheet en de tekst ook. Ook een prachtig sheet, maar welke is dat niet eigenlihjuk....LOL. The background is gemaakt met de acryl blok techniek en dit keer met de Memento inkt kleuren. De swirl is een Memory box mal.

And the last one for now......has also been made using the Waterlily mandala and on the background image I've used the 'Fantasy Meadow'sheet from Chocolate Baroque. The crackled  cover a card background and sentiment are from IO.
All used embossingpowders are from WOW and they are really WOW!!

En de laatste kaart voor nu.......ook gemaakt met de 'Waterlily mandala'en op de achtergrond zie je een stempel van de'Fantasy Meadow'sheet van Chocolate Baroque. De craquele cover a card achtergrond en de tekst zijn van IO.

Alle stempels zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam en daar hangen ook de voorbeelden 'live' te zien. Hoop jullie weer geinspireerd te hebben of als je de stempels inmiddels al had gekocht heb je hier weer de foto's erbij!

Today some earlier made 'workshop' cards made for the Posthumus shop. They are all inspired by the theme of the sea and the beautiful IO stamps! They can all be bought at the Posthumus shop and you can see all the cards there too. In time I will show all of them here too.
With the first card I am joining the IO challenge 'by the sea', so if you are inspired too, join the challenge and create something sea like....... I've used the masking technique which I don't use often because often I am too lazy to cut out masks......the lines and sentiment are embossed with WOW platinum emboss. powder. The shells are stamped using the new Memento inks, they are great!

Vandaag wat eerder gemaakte 'workshop'kaarten gemaakt voor Posthumus. Ze zijn allemaal geinspireerd op het zee thema en de mooie IO stempels! Ze zijn allemaal te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam. Daar kun je ook alle kaarten 'life' zien. Maar tzt. komen ze hier ook allemaal voorbij.
Met de eerste kaart doe ik mee met de IO challenge 'by the sea, dus als je ook bent geinspireerd, doe dan mee met de challenge en maak iets zee-achtigs.......Ik heb de masker techniek gebruikt die ik niet veel gebruik omdat ik vaak te lui ben om maskers te maken.....oh,oh.....de lijnen en de tekst zijn geembosst met WOW platinum emboss. poeder. De schelpen zijn gestempeld met de nieuwe Memento inkten, ze zijn prachtig!
I've used the following IO stamps/ ik heb de volgende IO stempels gebruikt:
Shell 2         - B1114
Shell 3         - C1115
sm.Shell 4    - A1254
Conch Shell - L4357
Nautilus       - F4345

On the 2nd card I've used some more shells mentioned here:
- Spiral shell  D4363
- Starfish      F4359
- sentiment   C5055

Here I've embossed with WOW emboss. powder Brass. I've stamped the shells with the same masking technique and used the new Memento colours. They are fab! The embossed shells are coloured with Tombo markers.

Hier heb ik geembosst met WOW poeder Brass. Ik heb de stempels met dezelfde masker techniek gestempeld en weer de nieuwe Memento inkten gebruikt. Ze zijn geweldig! De geembosste schelpen zijn ingekleurd met Tombo stiften.

The 3d card is also made with the same technique but very different colours which don't show very well on this photo but IRL much better.

I've used real aqua colours and fabulous WOW sparkle emboss. powders! I've used here the 'Hatteras lighthouse' F1174. Also stamped with Memento inks.

De 3e kaart is ook gemaakt met dezelfde techniek maar heel andere kleuren die in het echt veel mooier tot zijn recht komen dan op de foto.

Ik heb hier echte aqua kleuren gebruikt en prachtige glitter poeders van WOW! Hier heb ik de 'Hatteras vuurtoren' van IO gebruikt. F1174. Ook gestempeld met Memento inkten.

I was ironing on the attic (sometimes it has to happen, LOL) and was listening to an old CD that I've made in earlier days and which has a lot of dear songs with memories to me. So today I am in a contemplating mood and thought why not share it..........
Today I just want to share two songs that means a lot to me.......I am sorry that it is in Dutch but it has all to do with Inspiration and where that comes from...........this song touches me and it brings back dear memories to a close friend and previous period in my life........
The song is called 'Inspiration' and have been sung by Mathilde Santing.
The 2nd song is in English and is called 'beautiful people'. It has all to do with people......and connection.......isn't that what we are all long for.... to connect from out authenticity and Love?
 A good friend told me ones ; when you are down or angry at the world or other people, try to see them with a soft view and imagine that they all have the same struggles and issues in life ......then you will look more soft and gentle towards everything......
So try to listen with an open mind and in a moment of tranquility and peace........

Ik was aan het strijken(ja zo af en toe moet dat gebeuren, haha) en had een oude CD opstaan met allemaal dierbare liedjes, dit zijn er twee van met een mooie bewerking van beelden. Dus vandaag ben ik in een beschouwende en filosofische bui en dacht waarom deel ik het niet met jullie.........

Vandaag wil ik twee liedjes delen die me raken...........het heeft alles te maken met Inspiratie en waar dat vandaan komt......een ieder zal daar zo een eigen mening over hebben maar het lied geeft aan dat het vanuit de 'andere dimensie' komt.....het raakt me en het brengt herinneringen aan een dierbare vriendin en een periode uit mijn leven..........
Het lied heet 'Inspiratie'en is gezongen door Mathilde Santing. Het tweede nummer is in het Engels en heet 'Beautiful people'
Het heeft alles te maken met mensen... en verbinding.....is dat niet wat waar we allemaal naar verlangen.....verbinding.......vanuit echtheid en liefde?
Een goede vriend zei mee eens; wanneer je weer eens boos bent of verdrietig over mensen of de wereld, probeer eens met een milde blik te kijken en stel je voor dat ze allemaal worstelen met dezelfde problemen in deze wereld....dan zul je kijken met een mildere blik naar alles......
Soms kan muziek en bepaalde woorden zoveel losmaken........luister maar met een 'open mind' en in een moment van rust....

Vandaag wat kaarten gemaakt met zonnige kleuren en de eerste doet mee met de  For Your Inspiration challenge van deze keer. Kijk......... een prachtige foto.......zou je daar niet willen zijn.......luisterend naar de het geluid van de oceaan.........

And here is my interpretation of this lovely picture.........On the background the cover a card 'Sunflowers'from Impression Obsession and the beautiful flowers are from Chocolate Baroque. My favourite Bold blooms/Fresh blooms. 
However...Glenda introduced a brandnew sheet called 'Sunny Flowers' and it's so..so lovely. Being curious....take a look ate the DT blog.......for a chance to win of these sheets! 
I've made several designs with the IO and CB stamps and will show them too here. The quote is also from IO. The flowers are embossed with WOW black glint and coloured with the Tombo (waterbased) markers.
All following cards are showing work with the same stamps and use of different techniques.


En hier dan mijn interpretatie van deze mooie foto.......op de achtergrond de cac 'Zonnebloemen' van Impression Obsession en de mooie bloemen van Chocolate Baroque. Mijn favouriete set Bold blooms/fresh blooms.
Hoewel.........er is nu een nieuwe sheet uit met 'Sunny flowers' en die is toch wel heel erg mooi. Ben je nieuwsgierig......neem een kijkje op het DT blog ...... voor een kans om een van deze sheets te winnen!! 
Ik heb diverse ontwerpen gemaakt met deze stempels van IO en CB en zal ze hier laten zien. De tekst is ook van IO. De bloemen zijn geembosst met WOW zwart glint and gekleurd met de Tombo stiften.(waterbasis) Alle volgende kaarten die je hier ziet zijn met dezelfde stempels gemaakt maar met verschillende technieken. Alle stempels zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

And a 2nd 'Sunny' variation with these gorgeous stamps........here I've coloured the entire background with my Derwent soft colours. I overstamped and embossed the big Flourish swirl from Hero arts with gold embossing. The Chocolate flowers are embossed with gold and coloured with Tombo's.
 En de 2e 'zonnige'variatie met deze prachtige stempels.......hier heb ik de gehele achtergrond gekleurd met mijn Derwent soft colours. Eroverheen gestempeld en geembosst de grote flourish swirl van Hero arts met goud embossing. De bloemen van 'CB' zijn geembosst met goud en gekleurd met Tombo's.

And another........ this background is plain stamping with an orange shade and some sponging on the edges, the flowers and leaves embossed with silver EP and again coloured with Tombo's. The text is from IO.


En nog een.......deze achtergrond is simpel gestempeld met een oranje tint en wat gesponst aan de randen, de bloemen en bladeren zijn geembosst met zilver EP en weer gekleurd met Tombo's. De tekst is van IO.

And the 4th one...........the background is stamped with perfect medium and brushed with Perfect Pearls gold. Flower and leaves embossed with gold and coloured with .........you guessed .....Tombo's! It would be also lovely using the new distress markers ........and someday I have to use my Copics as well......they are very neglected......there are so many beautiful materials to use.....


En de 4e........de achtergrond is gestempeld met perfect medium(Ranger) en met een kwastje Perfect Pearls goud bewerkt. Bloem en bladeren geembosst met zwart en gekleurd met....je raadt het al....Tombo's!
Het zal vast ook mooi zijn met de nieuwe distress markers.........en die Copics moet ik toch ook eens gaan gebruiken.....er zijn zoveel mooie materialen...

And finally two cards without the lovely CB flowers......there is something missing........don't you think? Here I've combined different cover a card backgrounds from IO: Sunflowers/Spatter/Distressed Denim and only added the quote and a ribbon.


En tot slot twee kaarten zonder de mooie bloemen van CB........er mist toch iets he......denk je ook niet? Hier heb ik verschillende grote achtergronden van IO gebruikt met diverse kleuren inkt: Sunflowers/Spatter/Distressed Denim en alleen nog een tekstje en een lintje

And the last one is embossed with gold EP directly on the card and coloured with Tombo's. A nice add is the coloured text piece with a little fragment of the flower in it.

En de laatste is geembosst met goud EP rechtsstreeks op de kaart en gekleurd met de Tombo's. Een leuke toevoeging is het gekleurde tekst stukje met een fragment van de bloem erin.

Pink Pastels.....Chocolate Baroque and Impression Obsession

Just some earlier made creations in Pink with Chocolate Baroque and Impression Obsession stamps.
On the first card I've used a cover a card background stamp from Impression Obsession and on the main image some lovely and elegant stamps from Chocolate Baroque(Fantastic Florals) I've also used some texture fragments on the background of the main image. Only add some gemstones.........
With this card I am entering the Pan Pastel challenge no.19 'Pastel Colours'.......

Bij de eerste kaart heb ik de cover a card achtergrond van IO gebruikt en op de voorgrond wat mooie en elegante stempels van CB. Ik heb ook op de achtergrond van de bloemen de texture fragments gebruikt. Alleen wat glinster steentjes toegevoegd..........(Ook al deze stempels te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam)

On the 2nd card I've also used a cover a card background from IO(funky) and the main image is again Chocolate Baroque (from the Rose tree sheet) the butterfly is also from the same sheet. Again only added some gemstones. The quote is from IO.

Bij de 2e kaart heb ik ook een cover a card achtergrond van IO gebruikt(Funky) en de afbeelding voorop is weer van Chocolate Baroque(from the Rose tree sheet) de vlinder is ook van hetzelfde sheet. Ook hier alleen wat glinster steentjes erop gedaan.... De tekst is van IO. Al deze stempels zijn te koop bij de Posthumuswinkel in Amsterdam.

Time out........even een 'break' .......

in the 'forest' in Leiden at my MIL's

Just popping in to say that for the following months I will take a time-out for all of the DT work I was committed to. It all has to do with my home situation.......health, home, finances and everything related to that. So I won't be blogging a lot because I need that time for other things now. There will be some posts with work that was already done, so hope when things get sorted out I will be back! Some business have to be completed because I have made a promise and want to keep that when I am able to.
I will continue the creative process because it's also relaxing, enjoying and healing but with no pressure........
The photo's were taken in Leiden and Zeist, I thought that the little waterdrops look like ' little lights' on the branches.......

Even een berichtje om te zeggen dat ik de komende maanden een time-out/break zal nemen voor al het DT werk waaraan ik verbonden ben. Het heeft alles te maken met mijn thuissituatie.......gezondheid, huis, financien en alles wat daarmee te maken heeft.
Dus, ik zal niet veel bloggen omdat ik die tijd voor andere dingen nodig heb. Er zullen wel wat berichten zijn met werk wat ik al gedaan heb en ik hoop wanneer de zaken allemaal wat helderder zijn dat ik er weer helemaal ben! Sommige zaken zal ik afronden omdat ik een belofte heb gemaakt en die wil houden zolang ik dat kan.
Ik zal zeker doorgaan met het creatieve proces omdat het ook ontspant, een fijn gevoel geeft en helend werkt maar zonder enige druk...........

Stempel Workshops Posthumuswinkel Amsterdam 11 en 12 mei

Binnenkort zullen er twee dagen stempelworkshops zijn bij Posthumus in Amsterdam. Deze zullen gegeven worden op vrijdag 11 en zaterdag 12 mei. We werken met het 'zee thema' en we stempelen met prachtige schelp stempels van Impression Obsession. De kissing technique komt aan de orde, embossen met prachtige nieuwe poeders van WOW, inkleuren met de Tombo's en Derwent kleurpotloden kortom er is weer van alles te doen........
