In a tropical forest..........

Hi there,

Today I will show you my card which I've made for the Colourstock blog. I had this background made while we were playing during a fantastic day with Marja, Shirley and her family after the event in April. 

We had a play with the lovely Hibiscus designs of Ryn. They come in rubber stamps and there is also a fantastic stencil! The beautiful sitting hummingbird is also from designs by Ryn.

I've coloured the bird with my Copic markers. The background was done with Brusho powders after I had embossed the flowers with clear embossing. I couldn't resist after finishing the card to use some of the gorgeous water droplets from Trickling water set 2.

The beautiful die cut flower and leaves are from Leane Creative. I've worked on the flowers with the Hibiscus stencil and Pan Pastel.

Vandaan een kaart die ik gemaakt heb voor het Colourstock blog. Ik had deze achtergrond gemaakt tijdens een heerlijke dag samen met Marja, Shirley en haar familie na het event in april.

We hebben gespeeld met de mooie Hibiscus designs van Ryn. Ze zijn er zowel in rubber stempels als in een

Als je een stap voor stap en de gebruikte materialen wilt zien neem dan een kijkje op het Colourstock blog. Ik heb de vogel gekleurd met mn Copic markers. De achtergrond is gemaakt met de Brusho poeders nadat ik de bloemen had geembosst met clear emboss.poeder. Ik kon het niet laten nadat de achtergrond klaar was om toch nog twee mooie waterdruppels van de Trickling water set 2 te stempelen.

De mooie bloemen en blaadjes zijn van Leane Creatief. De bloemen heb ik bewerkt met het Hibiscus stencil en Pan Pastel.

Lovely flowers from Leane Creative

Today something different from the cards and style you know from me.......but sometimes it's good to do something different. Some while ago Leane sent me this flower die and the matching clear stamp set. She also sent some matching paper. Always a good combination, blue and brown shades......

Vandaag iets anders dan de kaarten en stijl die jullie gewend zijn van mij........maar soms is het leuk om eens weer iets anders te doen. Een tijdje geleden stuurde Leane me deze mal en bijpassende stempels. Ook stuurde ze bijpassend papier. Altijd een mooie combi, blauwe en bruine tinten......

Dit is de kaart die ik gemaakt heb....

I've used color core paper which I've sanded along the edges. I have die cut 3 circles from the patterned paper and die cut the flowers from watercolor paper. I coloured the large flower with matching inks and stamped also the clear stamp onto the largest flower.

 I stamped the matching stamp into the 3 small flowers and the center is also a die and a small stamp.

The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque, Amazing Birthday clear stamp sheet.

Ik heb als basis color core papier gebruikt wat ik opschuurde aan de randen. ik heb 3 cirkels gesneden van het dessin papier. De bloemen zijn gesneden van aquarel papier. Ik heb de grootste bloem gekleurd met zelfde tinten Distress inkt. Op de grootste bloem is de clear stempel bloem afgedrukt en ook het aparte randje wat daar weer omheen zit. De 3 kleine bloemen boven zijn eerst gesneden en daarna bestempeld met deze twee clear stempels. Het hart van de bloemen bestaat uit 2 snijmallen en ook weer een bijpassende stempel, echt leuk!

I gave some accents with a white acrylic marker( Molotov or Posca) and some waterdrop effects with a pearl pen.

Circles and Seasonal Fragments from Chocolate Baroque

Today my 2nd take with the Seasonal Fragments, I like these stamps so much! And again a clean and fresh card, easy to create.

This time I was inspired by the circle shape. I have cut out several sizes of circles and stamped two of the flower fragments using Memento Black. I have coloured them with alcohol based markers. Than I draw circles with pencil around it and made a pattern with a fineliner(005). I have used the sentiment from the Amazing Birthday sheet.

Vandaag mijn tweede creatie met de Seasonal Fragments, ik vind deze stempels zo heerlijk! En weer een clean en fresh kaart, gemakkelijk te maken. Je hebt alleen een cirkel mal, pons of snijder nodig, een fineliner, zwarte Memento inkt en wat kleurmateriaal.

Ik was geïnspireerd door de cirkel vorm en heb diverse maten gesneden. De bloem fragmenten zijn gestempeld met Memento zwart omdat ik wilde kleuren met Copic markers. Toen heb ik nog wat cirkels eromheen getrokken en geaccentueerd met een zwarte fineliner.(005)De tekst is van de clear set Amazing Birthday

I have added lots of pearl pen accents but it doesn't show on the photo's.......

Ik heb een heleboel accenten gegeven met diverse pearl pennen maar dat zie je niet goed op de foto.....

Poppy card with Crafters companion and Crealies dies

Hi there,

Today the card which we have made at a make and take at my friend's craftshop. We have used one of the lovely Crafters Companion Diesire A6 Create a card die called Kaleidoscope of Butterflies. They have several lovely motifs in these dies.

I have also used the Crealies flowers, Set of 3, no.1 and the Double fun no.12. The leaves are from Creative expressions, called Maidenhair fern. The clear stamp sheet which I have used is from Marianne Design CS0927. The sentiment is also from Marianne Design.

Here is my card, which I also made in other variations and colors.

I have used a card base of 30x15 cm and scored starting from the left side at 4,10 and 16 cm.

I have used the new lovely color Abandoned Coral  Distress ink for the flowers and blending of the edges.

The butterflies are coloured with the Chameleon markers.

Vandaag de kaart die we hebben gemaakt tijdens de make en take bij ' t Hobbyschuurke in Ridderkerk. Het was weer gezellig.

We hebben de mooie mallen van Crafters Companion gebruikt. Dit keer de Create a card Diesire mal Kaleidoscope Butterflies. Mooie kant- achtige mallen. Er zijn diverse mooie motieven in te vinden. Ik heb hierbij ook gebruikt de Crealies flowers, Set of 3, nr.1 en de Double fun nr.12.

De blaadjes zijn Creative expressions genaamd Maidenhair fern. De clear stempel die we hebben gebruikt is van Marianne Design. (CS0927) de tekst is ook van MD.

Hier is de kaart, die ik ook gemaakt heb met de andere mallen en andere kleuren.(andere blogpost)

Voor dit model kaart heb je nodig kaartkarton van 30x15 cm. Dat ril je op 4,10 en 16 cm vanaf de linkerkant. Ik heb een van de mooie nieuwe Distress kleuren Abandoned Coral gebruikt voor de bloemen en het blenden van de randen.

De vlinders zijn gekleurd met de Chameleon markers.

And some shabby white embossing enamel from Stampendous sprinkled on the front panel. Great stuff!

En wat Shabby white embossing enamel van Stampendous op het voorkantje gestrooid(verhitten van onderaf). Gaaf spul! In diverse kleuren verkrijgbaar.

Today two cards which I've made for the Colourstock blog. In the last post I've showed you some tangled flowers and I promised to make a background to put them on........well I had so much pleasure in doing that! I really love to tangle and I could go on for hours........

When you take a look on the Colourstock blog you can see the step by step instructions of the first card. The 2nd card is made using the left over flowers.

I have used the Creative flowers no. 3 from Crealies. They have large petals and you can easily draw some patterns on them. I also used a swirl die cut and tangled that too.

Vandaag twee kaarten die ik gemaakt heb voor het Colourstock blog. In de laatste blogpost heb ik jullie wat getangelde bloemen laten zien en beloofd dat ik er een achtergrond voor zou maken. Ik heb zo veel plezier gehad om dit te doen......heerlijk....ik kon er wel uren mee doorgaan!(haha heb ik ook wel gedaan)

Wanneer je een kijkje neemt op het Colourstock blog kun je de stap voor stap beschrijving zien van de eerste kaart. De 2e is gemaakt met wat bloemen die ik over had.

Ik heb de Creative flowers no. 3 van Crealies gebruikt. Die hebben grote blaadjes en daar kun je lekker op tekenen. Ik heb zelfs de swirl gekleurd en getangeld.

This beautiful Dutch sentiment says: 'Go for that what makes your heart sing'............and creating this it really sang! The text stamps I've used are all from Inkerbell stamps.

Deze mooie Nederlandse tekst zegt: Ga voor datgene dat jouw hart doet zingen.........en dat was ook zo bij het tekenen van deze achtergrond en bloemen!

This beautiful Dutch sentiment says: a bit of love can be like a drop of water which strengthens the flower to come alive again.

I had some left over flowers and made this black card to put them on. I've embossed the card with a M-Bossabilities folder and added blue and green pearlescent Pan Pastels and for the label some gold metallic Pan Pastel..

Ook deze mooie tekst is van Stempel atelier Dordrecht (Inkerbell stamps) en er zijn er nog veel meer! Sinds kort verkoopt Pipoos in Dordrecht ook een aantal sheets van Inkerbell. Zij zijn ook gespecialiseerd in religieuze teksten.

Ik had nog wat bloemen over en heb ze verwerkt op deze zwarte kaart. Eerst geembosst met een M-Bossabilities folder en daarna bewerkt met de pearlescent Pan Pastels.

Hope to have inspired you to start drawing and tangling! It's not difficult and such fun! And remember, sometimes the road is far more important than the destination!

Squares and Seasonal Fragments........from Chocolate Baroque

Today I want to show you my first play with those gorgeous new fragments stamps from Chocolate Baroque. I had a play with the Seasonal fragments and there is also the Rustic Fragments. If I had to buy them I really could not choose so there is also a great multi-buy available. Treat yourself!

I have also combined this pattern with a matching pattern from the Tangled Fragments.

All the fragment/structure stamp sheets from Chocolate Baroque are so versatile and great to play with! For all kind of styles, classic stamping, CAS cards, Mixed media, Art journaling, and much more techniques!

 Vandaag wil ik jullie mijn eerste creatie laten zien met de nieuwe gave fragment stempels van Chocolate Baroque. Ik heb gespeeld met de Seasonal fragments en er is ook nog de Rustic Fragments. Als ik zou moeten kiezen zou ik het echt niet weten dus is er gelukkig ook nog een voordeligere multi-buy beschikbaar. Geef jezelf een cadeautje! Inmiddels zijn er heel veel winkels die de CB stempels te koop hebben.

Ik heb dit patroon ook gecombineerd met een bijpassend patroon van de  Tangled Fragments. Alle fragment/structuur stempels van Chocolate Baroque zijn zo veelzijdig en gaaf om mee te spelen! Ook voor alle stijlen, klassiek, CAS, mixed media, Art Journaling en allerlei technieken!

Here is my card.......

 I went for a simple card with a great contrast. Black& white with a splash of green and turquoise.Coloured with Copic markers.

I've used a Sizzix die cut for the center frame. It cuts out the frame as well as the squares. I have also a larger version of this one, very handy!

At last I've added accents with pearl pens.

Ik ben gegaan voor een simpele kaart met een groot contrast. Zwart en wit met een splash van groen en turquoise. Gekleurd met de Copic markers. Ik heb hier een Sizzix snijmal gebruikt voor het midden frame, snijd zowel het frame als de vierkantjes uit, erg handig. Heb ook nog een grotere versie en dit zijn mallen die ik veel gebruik.

At the last moment I've also created a similar version but with lots of embossed layers......I have embossed the frame also and added some glitter embossing powder here and there for a nice sparkle. I've embossed all the patterns with WOW white pearl and sponged afterwards with Distress inks.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Birthday sheet. In the center of the frame I have triple embossed a square tile and pressed the pattern into it. Finally added some perfect pearl powders.

Op het laatste moment heb ik nog een andere versie gemaakt met dezelfde kleuren maar veel embossing. Ik heb het frame geembosst en wat glitter embossing gebruikt voor een mooie sparkle. Ik heb alle structuren geembosst met WOW white pearl en gesponst met Distress inkten. De tekst isvan de Amazing Birthday sheet. In het midden van het frame heb ik een vierkante tile driemaal geembosst en tenslotte de stempel erin gedrukt. Daarna nog wat perfect pearls erover heen gedaan.

Well, I have been playing with more shapes and frames....so keep watching if you like this style!

Butterflies and Dragonflies from Chocolate Baroque......

Today some creations made with the ' A year of stamping' stamps which I did not have published yet.

These were from the months April and May. The Butterfly stamp is from the month April and like all these stamps available in a large and a small one. 

I have made this one on a lovely scrapbook paper with a subtle pattern and decoupaged the butterflies and gave them color pencil accents.

The quote is from 'Words of Wisdom'.

Vandaag wat kaarten die gemaakt zijn met de ' a year of stamping' stempels van Chcolate Baroque en die ik nog niet had laten zien. Deze zijn van de maanden april en mei. De Butterfly stempel is van de maand april en zoals al deze stempels zijn ze in een kleine en grote versie te koop. Alleen via de website van Chocolate Baroque want deze zijn niet te koop bij de winkeliers!

Ik heb deze gestempeld op mooi scrap papier met een subtiel patroon. De vlinders extra uitgeknipt en gekleurd met kleurpotlood.

De tekst is van Words of Wisdom van CB.

Hier kun je alles lezen over een jaar stempelen met Chocolate Baroque. Er is ook een Facebook groep waar de gemaakte creaties met deze stempels gedeeld worden en koop je een van de stempels dan krijg je het digitale magazine boordevol technieken en ideeën erbij!

The next one is stamped with Versafine black onto a Distress inked background and coloured with pencils. The lovely die is from Cheery Lynn.

De volgende is gestempeld met Versafine zwart op een Distress inkt ondergrond en gekleurd met kleurpotloden. De mooie snijmal is van Cheery Lynn.

The Dragonfly is from the month May and is also available in small and large. I have stamped the dragonfly on acetate and added some glitter glue on the backside. The text on both cards is from the Fairyland words.

De libelle is van de maand mei en ook dus in groot en klein. Ik heb de libelle ook op acetaat gestempeld met zwarte Stazon en de achterkant bewerkt met glitterlijm. De tekst op beide kaarten is van de Fairyland words sheet van CB.

Painting Floral Mannequins

Hi there,

Today another idea for stamping the Floral Mannequins. Chocolate Baroque has lovely elegant designs but they are also suitable to use them in mixed media projects. I was visiting a friend and we had a play with Fresco Finish paints fromPaper Artsy. I like the chalky finish of these paints, but you have to work fast because they dry almost instantly. Of course there are painting mediums which can help but I did not have that.

I worked on canvas paper and that creates a real painted effect. This time I really did paint.......not with a brush but a sponge.

I've made two cards, here they are....

Vandaag een ander idee om de Floral Mannequins te verwerken. Chocolate Baroque heeft mooie elegant ontwerpen maar ze zijn ook prima geschikt om ze in mixed media projecten te verwerken. Dus wat meer Artsy..........Ik was bij een vriendin en samen hebben we heerlijk gespeeld met de mooie Fresco paints van Paper Artsy. Ik vind de kalkachtige uitstraling mooi, je moet wel snel werken want ze drogen erg snel. Natuurlijk zijn er wel schilder mediums die de werktijd verlengen maar die had ik niet.

Ik heb gewerkt op canvas papier en dat geeft een echt schilderachtig effect. Deze keer ook nog eens met echte verf.......niet met een kwast maar met de spons aangebracht.

Ik heb twee kaarten gemaakt in deze stijl, hier zijn ze.......

I stamped the dress form using the same paint and stamped some fragments of the lace and the lace flower. The lace flower is also embossed on vellum and I've used 3 matching colors of the WOW embossing powders. The word is from the Artistic Expressions, a sheet that matches this style very much.

Ik heb de paspop diverse keren gestempeld met dezelfde verf en sommige fragmenten van het kant en de kant bloem. De kant bloem heb ik ook 3x op vellum geembosst met 3 bijpassende kleuren WOW embossing poeder. 

De tekst is van de Artistic Expressions, een sheet dat perfect bij deze stijl past.

And the 2nd one........I decided after I stamped the dress form several times to use the craquele stamp from the Echoes of Italy and a small stamp from the Mini Scripts. I've stamped the lace border at the right edge and pressed it also onto a technique tile which I've triple embossed with WOW embossing powder.(Glacier Mint) I've added also some perfect pearl powder onto it to create some lovely shine. I think it looks a bit like old Turkoois ........wouldn't it be a lovely to create a necklace or earrings with that?

En de 2e.......nadat ik de paspop diverse keren had gestempeld heb ik de craquelé stempel van Echoes of Italy en kleine alfabetstempel van Mini Scripts gebruikt. Ik heb de kantborder gebruikt aan de zijkant en ook de stempel gedrukt in een triple geembosste techniek tile die ik heb geembosst met WOW Glacier Mint. Ook nog wat perfect pearls erin gewreven wat een mooie glans geeft.

Ik vind het wel een beetje lijken op een oude turkoois.......zou het niet mooi zijn om hiervan ook sieraden te maken?

The words are from another favorite sheet of mine called Artistic Affirmations and is even more suitable for Mixed media projects. I distressed the edges of the canvas paper and sanded the card stock beneath for a worn look.

De tekst is van een ander favoriet sheet van mij, Artistic Affirmations en is zelfs nog geschikter voor Mixed Media projecten. Ik heb de randen gedistresst van het canvas papier en de kaart geschuurd voor een versleten look.

I've stamped the beautiful window from the Texture Fragments and used a part from the Songthrush cling stamp from Chocolate Baroque. I've coloured the bird and flowers with the Chameleon markers and gave some accents with a white and silver belly pen on the window.

I've used some sparkly embossing powder of WOW called 'Silver Bells'.

Vandaag zoals beloofd het 3e boekje dat ik maakte voor de workshop en de 11e kleuren challenge alweer bij Chocolate Baroque.
